I owned the restaurant in the early 80's in a town of 50,000 in the mid-west. It was lunch/dinner/catering with a full cocktail bar, sorta like an early version of a TGI Fridays, only a bit more up-scale.You owned a restaurant??? GET OUT! What kind of food? Mister Man's dream is to open a restaurant (his dad owned too, so it's not entirely out of his ass), and I sometimes dabble in that dream.
I'd never even think of opening one in SF - wayyy too competitive, but I have to admit I sometimes am tempted around here. There just aren't enough simple, unfussy fresh ingredients places around here. On the other other hand? I have been shocked to discover that the world according to ITW isn't a world that everyone wants to inhabit. Some people genuinely enjoy recipes that call for a can of cream of mushroom soup. *shudder*
Ok, back to you. What kind of person is she? I know what I'd like, but I'm guessing you aren't dating a spoiled brat like me. Or are you?
