I think having one would be interesting but I have enough keeping my beagle from busting out of the fence.. who knows how hard it would be to keep one of those from getting loose. I agree they are kind of cute.

I gave one to my brother in law for Christmas one year. We use it on the 4th of July to launch fire works :devil:
 
Penny finally dropped why there was an aura of déjà vu while I viewed Fur - An Imaginary Portrait of Diane Arbus a few weeks ago. The Director, Steven Shainberg, made Secretary. Damn I want the blindfold in this movie, badly.
 
Now that I know I can spell trebuchet, I can put it on my Christmas list this year too! It would be perfect for flinging snowballs around while I snuggle with my kittens, both of whom out-weigh a Fennec Fox at this point. Not by much but they do.

Chris, Beagles are the cutest little escape artists ever! My brother has one, and he finally dug a trench around the sides of the yard he trying to keep her in, and burried some chicken wire in an L shape. It went about 18 inches down, and about a foot in. So she started climbing over the fence. They switched to a redwood slat fence, (still with the chicken wire) and discovered she could wiggle out of the gate... I love Beagles, but they're so darn smart!

Beagles are pretty willful, period but also one of the most easy going dogs as well. I wouldn't trade mine off for all the tea in China but she does frustrate the hell out of me at times.
 
I dearly love Beagles. I'd love to have one, but I'm not mobile enough to walk one every day or take it for runs or anything. So I have my girls instead. But someday, there will be Beagleness in my life.

They do require attention but mine makes me laugh.. she's better than color tv at times.:D
 
Some day -when we have a yard - we'll have a beagle. K had a beagle when he was a kid and he really wants to get another one sometime.
 
This older gentleman, that was working for me today............

Every other time I made a comment about something that was a collaborative process, he would look at me reallllllllllly earnestly and say "good girl". I was like "well thank you for noticing" , took so much energy not to break into laughter each and every time. Surreal , I have never known a stranger to use that phrase in such frequent succession before. Bless him.

It's some hours later and I am still smiling, if he only new why.......

Cat From Florida Flies To Texas In Suitcase
FORT WORTH, Texas (CBS) ― A shy 10-month-old tabby has quite a story to tell after traveling across the country inside a suitcase, according to CBS station KTVT-TV in Dallas.

Gracie Mae's owner, Kelly Levy, was worried the morning her husband, Seth, left Florida for a flight to North Texas. They hadn't seen their cat since the early evening.

Levy searched the usual places a fearful cat would hide - including a crawl space in the bathroom wall. Levy even had some of the tiles removed to make sure the recently spayed and still-recovering kitten wasn't stuck.

"I started to tear the house apart. I was frantic. I couldn't find her," the 24-year-old told The South Florida Sun-Sentinel.

She even posted "lost cat" signs in her neighborhood.

As Kelly Levy searched for the kitten, her husband couldn't find his suitcase when he arrived at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport baggage claim.

Someone else picked up the suitcase and found the lost pet tucked in Seth Levy's clothes.

As Kelly told the newspaper, the man who retrieved her husband's bag called to tell her of his surprise find.

The man agreed to hold onto Gracie Mae until Seth could pick her up later Saturday, Mrs. Levy said.

Gracie Mae returned safely home Sunday night on an $80 plane ticket, the newspaper reported.
