There's really NO other reason for cutting a part of a guys penis off except tradition and religion. There is a reason why all men is born with a fore skin - if it wasn't supposed to be there, then we would not have it.
It protects the penis glans, it's as simple as that. That's the reason men have it.

Hygien is actually better with foreskin if you wash it, since the foreskin covers the urethral opening.

Personally, i'm quite against un-necessary non-medical circumsision. I do not think that a parent should be able to make the decision about what parts of their baby they should cut off.

The only real reason you'd want to cut off your foreskin is if you have problems pulling all your foreskin back. That is sometimes a problem, but it can usually be worked out just by slowly pulling the skin over a period of some weeks/months. It's quite common in young puberty to have that problem.

The idea that you should cut your babies foreskin off because every one else does it is incredibly stupid. That's just as stupid as not letting homosexuals adopt children because they might get bullied in school - if everyone thinks like that, then of course people with foreskin or gay parents is going to get bullied...

As an uncut man, lube is key. Yes as I am hard a lot of the foreskin goes back but it is still there. If there isn't plenty of lube then hand jobs or sex can do a bad number. Yeah, same for me as your SO. I was born in Oxford and you 100% correct, they don't cut there. Reading your post was interesting. Not in my experience (n=2). With either of my uncut guys, if they had an erection while dressed, it might happen in a way that unfurled them depending on how their cock was lying pre-erection. But mostly either they or I had / have to pull it down. I suppose some foreskin could be looser than others and gravity might do the work .

Also, as an ex-biologist, I assume that foreskin size and elasticity varies the same as with any other body part, so YMMV.
