I want to know what you folks think it the ultimate music to make love to? If you know that you are going to get lucky tonight with either that special someone or a new lover what are you going to make sure is in the CD player? Is there a difference in what music you would play for that special someone and someone you just met? What is the music that can seal the deal? For me I have to have Van Morrison's Greatest hits. It is the perfect making love music and the just plain sexual expression music. Let me know what you think on this topic.

it depends on the mood and *cough* type of sex, but usually i would not hesitate to say Enigma's MCMXC AD (the first cd).

although Enigma is great

Roxy music- Avalon albumn is up there too!

I was just laying in bed last night thinking of sexual music and how it would make a good thread! How funny.
Many songs come to mind, but I can't pick any single album.

If someone were coming to spend the night with me I would probably burn a cd of my own mix.
I guess it would all depend on timing and mood. But timing and mood...hmmm. I'll keep thinking on it and post again.

(edited for typos)

Hum Job?

I dunno . . . maybe some Marvin Gaye or Al Greene.

We won't mention Barry White, the "Walrus of Love."

It depends on the lover, mood, environment, etc.

It could be romantic as the English Patient soundtrack, to Lords of Acid, Indie with Teaches of Peaches to Frank Sinatra or some 30's vibes, but it all depends on the situation(s) and if mirrors are involved…

Everything is realative, even music, sex, paintings and life.

Enigma, Deep Forest, Pink Floyd, Tori Amos, Fiona Apple. Great music and it does the trick... at least for me... Of course sometimes silence is better, It all depends on the situation.

No Brainer, Moody Blues Days of Future Passed, in particular Nights in White Satin. Best slow dance song of all time (IMO).

one in particular

Edgar Winter's Group's--Frankenstein

Very funky makin' it music! Just listening to it makes me wet!

I strongly suggest to everyone. My gift to you:rose:

mmm

Personally i prefer the sounds of grunts and screams of ourselves..never cared for background music. Maybe that cheessy porno music would be cool..but for a romantic song at least..not sure if anyone can imagine it..but definatley find a song by the band VAST, song is Touched. great fucking song..take care...laters...

Does it matter I've always found that neither of us payed to much attention to ANYTHING else after the first few minutes lol. And she never cared about it after I got my hands on her... chuckle hint: guys learn the art of massage...

varies

i think to try and pick one albulm for all lovemaking is limiting yourself way too much. there is a wide variety of good lovemaking music and a wide variety of lovers and situations. however, here are a couple of suggesions.......................
any albulm by enya
pink floyd, dark side of the moon
maorris day and the time band (showing myage) has a song called "giggolos get lonely too" that is awesome for a more uptempo session
faith hill/tim mcgraw, lets make love will never let you down
loreena mckennit(sp chck) probably unheard of y most but very good
eric clapton, selected pieces like wonderful tonight and tears in heaven
city of angels soundtrack minus one song is almost perfect for a complete session including foreplay, slow love-making, faster paced passion, and cool down and snuggling.

just a few ideas but remember everyones musical taste is just as different as their taste in sexual pleasure. so maybe th key to the perfect love makin albulm would be the one that the two lovemakers decide to play when they make love.

hope this falls on appreciative ears and helps someone.

music to make luv

Best Single Song - the extended, live version of "Wonderful Tonight" by Eric Clapton from the "24 Nights" CD. I get wet EVERY TIME I hear it.

Albums:
Dark Side of the Moon - pink floyd
Kind of Blue - Miles Davis
Rumors - Fleetwood Mac
Soundtrack "The Story of US" - Clapton
Feels Like Rain - Buddy Guy
Wrecking Ball - Emmylou Harris
Dreaming My Dreams - Waylon
The Very Best of AAron Neville
Riding with the King - B. B. & Eric
Abraxas - Santana
Blues at Sunrise - Stevie Ray Vaughan
Essence - Lucinda Williams
Soundtrack to "Tin Cup"

As u can see I love music, different styles 4 different moods, scenes, partners. It does help get things started, even if my partner and I are moaning and screaming to loud to hear it after a while.

Nice thread!

KHAN-E hit them all

KHAN-E Hit them all--Great list..I have to add 1 more to it though..
Any of Kenny G's Albums..

Pink Floyd´s Dark side of the Moon is definetly their best, But I have to include also: Meddle, Division Bell, Momentary Lapse of Reason... and... oh, all of their albums are great!

I have always found that Side One of the first Bad company album works a treat :

"Can't Get Enough" for the foreplay ;

"Rock Steady" for the act itself. It has exactly the right rhythm ;

"Ready for Love" and "Don't Let Me Down" for the afterglow.

I agree about Miles Davis and "Abraxas" by Santana. The strange thing is that, just the other day, somebody told me that "Caravanserai" was even better for this purpose, but I haven't yet had the opportunity to put that into practice.

Some good picks there.... I have listened to the same band everytime I've made love to someone for the first time... it happened to be my fav. 80's band... and usually a new album came out around I was with someone new... So I just made it a habit of playing it everytime. 8 for 8 so far. :D

I have to say:

Celine Dion---Let's Talk About Love CD

I love making love to slow songs, nice and slow, to enjoy every minute of it.

<waits for the inevitable "Biz Who?">

Yoooouuu, you got what I neeeed! <shudder>...could anyone be more off-key? lol
