I love tech until it doesn't work!

I had a phase of every computer I used desplaying the blue screen of death just before emmiting the smell of burning rubber and committing cyber suicide :(

I feel a takeaway coming on, I am just too tired to do cooking, even tho I could fancy a bbq.
Hope your pc gets better!

The blue screen of death and I are old friends.

The computer dude eventually brought it back, full of confidence that it was back in full working order.

Plugged it in, I looked at it the wrong way, and it stopped working again. His face was a picture.

The thing is, I make no secret of the fact that I have this unerring ability to break technology without even trying, so I don't know why I get 'the look' every time something goes wrong. I hadn't even touched the bloody thing!

Anyway - hope you have a nice takeaway - you deserve a treat. Thats a good idea, in fact, and I may join you. I fancy a Chinese...

Hope everyone else has had a good day. What are we all doing for the weekend?

Mmmmm crispy duck!
I quite fancy lamb shish kebab, but chinese is a good idea. I just need something with flavour.
Next tuesday is the third redundancy meeting. Praying for money to come in now!

playing reverse white knight and dropping the friend home then pizza for me I think.

Ended up finishing up stuff that hubs hadn't done for lil girl because they ate out all the time, and I just cannot throw out that much good food because its on its expiry date! Grrrr

And I'm home safe, another successful trip.

@LallyH, I waved... twice.

Chuckle. How far past the Exp date do you keep it? :)

Shame you had to cook when you were tired - hope he did the dishes though!

I waved back :D

You do like to live dangerously don't you, chancing TWO trips to the wilds of north Lancashire....

Good morning UKers.

Today I shall either be at Leeds Armouries or mooching round Ripley / Matlock / Chatsworth as the mood takes us.

Hope you all have something nice planned?

Morning everyone.

We're travelling over to Sheffield for the weekend this morning.

Later the boys are going to watch Wednesday get relegated again, so us girls are going shopping. If the boys stop being grumpy we might let them come with us later to watch iron man...

And tomorrow it's back into the studio...

Hope you're all having a good time :)

Morning all xx

Mal, usually I do the sniff test, if it smells ok and is within 2 days of the date, it is eaten.
Lally, he did unload the dishwasher, I suppose that counts for something :)

Weather is grey and thundery looking. Looks like I had the best of it during the week, I think I may even be looking ever so slightly tanned! Not much going on this weekend, I promised the kids a trip to the beach, but that is weather dependent. *sigh*

@Lally - Ah, back over this side. Hope you have fun.

@Daisy - Yeah, for some stuff I'll give it couple of days. Some stuff I'm a little more cautious of. Delicate constitution and all that ;)

@Curious - Hey hey. Welcome back.

In the end we went to Ripley to get me some new trousers, also picked up a knife to go in my kink bag for knife / danger play and for cutting rope / clothing as the need arises ;). Then to denby for some plates and odds and ends for the kitchen and then to the Chatsworth farm shop to buy stuff for lunch. A fun trip out, lots of deep and meaningful's in the car as we drove. All in all a good day so far. :)

Been out for a lovely meal, beautiful tapas. Ate waay too much, but every dish was lovely. Add to that a jug of sangria and I am a happy camper :)

Mal, did you get a hunting knife or something more exotic?

Lally, how's the recording going?

Hi Curious, good to meet you xxx

Iron Man 3 was really good - geek daughter is speechless at the moment which makes a change...

On the way over, she was asking why her brother is allowed to do X when she wasn't. Husband said 'because we are very bad parents. In fact when you've gone to bed, we bring him back downstairs, feed him chocolate, massage his feet and tell him he's the chosen one. Ok?'.

Think the football tension was getting to him....

Hi Daisy - glad you enjoyed the meal. And the sangria! ;)

Is there a special trouser supplier in Ripley??!

Hi Curious - pleased to meet you :)

Nope, just Black combat trousers. There's a really well stocked Military Surplus place in Ripley that I go to because it's a great little place to pick up oddities and because it's part of a traditional circuit that my and my wife do when we go out for a drive.

That knife, in black. It's not some monster 8" blade (though it is tempting to pick something like an old Ka-Bar up at some point) but it's wicked sharp for cutting through stuff, long enough to be threatening if I choose to be and small enough to carry around to events in my kit bag.

Morning everyone. Looks like a sunny day here in Sheffield. We're off to the studio in a bit to do some mixing - which is usually either quick and interesting or long and laborious....

That looks like a wicked knife, M.....*dreams*

Hope you're all having a fun day...and no work tomorrow :D

Alas, I do have work tomorrow. Might be going out for a walk in the peaks this afternoon. group of friends just decided to go for one.

Blimey, I stop wandering through Lit for a few months whilst I move 'up north' from the south west I come back and thread is dusted off and alive :)
