When I first started writing for the site, I recall there being something about necrophilia or "otherwise objectionable" material being written about. I alluded to it in a horror story, but I was worried that it would not make it past the site's editors.
A whole section dedicated to it? I know there's a horror section, but I don't see a necrophilia section.
Or are you talking non-consent?
From what I recall, actual non-consent is really frowned upon, but consensual non-con is okay. Like the whole...it wasn't her idea, but she ended up liking it vs. it wasn't her idea and she was emotionally scarred after the fact.
There's a whole story section dedicated to non-consent here. There's no distinction made between rape and scenarios where a degree of consent is implied. The consensus here is that we are all adults and capable of understanding the vast difference between fantasy and reality. Lit is passionate about free speech and generally only sets limits where it's legally required. Otherwise it's a case of don't like it, don't read it.
