Hi, a similar thing happened to me recently and now job hunting. Trying to stay positive and not spend the redundancy payout too fast!

So keep you pecker up Sweetdaisymae and don't let them grind you down! I know money is important but I'm trying to see it as a chance for a new opportunity.

And watch those zero hour contracts! I heard they are just a way of reducing your job benefits and entitlements but keeping you on their books!

Here's hoping the second quarter of the year is a bit (lot) more positive than the first.
 
I always wanted a corset.. I have the boobs for a corset!! I have worn something similar to a corset but I do not think there is a substitute for the real thing.

I can't wear a corset either - I was shortchanged in the breast department - I did buy one out of sheer determination once but I can't wear it. I would describe why not but your having breakfast....

Well, you've got your mates here to provide a shoulder to cry on or a bit of amusing diversion, depending what you need :heart:

I lean more to the amusing diversion department - if you ever need a laugh, just ask me for my latest technological disaster....because there's guaranteed to be one :eek:

We have rain this morning which will make the school run oh so much fun!

I love corsets, I am almost too big, I have to have steel bones otherwise my boobs coupled with my tum turn the top down, leaving me embarrassed.
Everyone says buy a vollers one, but I just can't go to three to four hundred quid.

Hopefully there shall be no technological disasters today. My fingers are crossed for it.

Yeah, good ones are not cheep at all... and cheep ones are not good usually.
 
A couple of years ago, we printed a manual for use in hospitals detailing treatments for skin damage. So we had to produce artwork with colour pictures of lacerations, burns, gangrene, ulcers, all the really good stuff.

My studio manager got through it without a murmur.

He's come downstairs this morning complaining of stress and trauma - he's got to do the artwork for the Jedward tour...

Oh I think I threw up a little in my mouth! Uggghh, my deepest sympathies for the man (I hope he doesn't have to listen to them too, that would be deeply traumatic)

I just bought some shoes, coz that's what you do when the going gets tough. No handbag....yet, but I have some exciting news, I applied for a job last week and I have been shortlisted for interview next week, trouble is, it is a long way to travel and will be a humongous pain in the butt, but the money aint bad :)
