Lucky sod, I can't.

I'm 23 years old and I can barely afford anything (stupid nursery not paying me enough)

Wages in childcare are notoriously scandalous, especially given the responsibility you have. Think you have an uphill struggle on your hands there. It's one of the reasons I quit nursing; the hours, the workload and the internal politics/hassle were just not nearly worth what I was being paid. I did really enjoy the job though.

Thing is, I quite like my job itself, and I like most the girls I work with, I just have major issues with my management being total assholes with their heads up their own asses, and I hate the games they play when they don't like you (tho what I've done to be disliked idk).

I'm in the process of getting out of there and getting a teaching assistant's job, they pay like twice what I'm earning now.

Good plan. You can always take on a little babysitting to keep your hand in with toddlers and infants.

I had the same issues with management when I used to work in elderly care homes. They had their little corner of power and so many decisions were made by them to prove a point or something. The guy who owned the place inherited it from his parents - who had founded the home originally. The man was an accountant. No bloody clue how not to treat elderly clients as human beings and not merely financial/legal liabilities.

I really hope you find a post that you like better and get to work with people who appreciate you. Being on a good team where people support each other really makes all the difference.

I found the perfect job for me. There's a primary school not that far from where I live that's got a job advertised for a TA working with a 4 year old with a compromised immune system which is full time.

I'd love to work with SEN children, cos the 2 week special school placement I did on my degree opened my eyes up to it. It was a fantastic experience for me and I loved every minute of it.

I completed my nurses training, but decided not to go in for a job. Like you said actually getting to work on the wards was a huge eye opener for me and I knew I'd made the wrong decisions. And that was many years ago now, I can only imagine what it's like today!

Harmony (((hugs))) wishing you much luck! I'll keep my fingers crossed that you find something suitable. :rose:

Morning shy hows things? Will be over in your neck o the woods soon to get my self a new frock!lol

A new frock? Woohoo, bet you'll look spiffing;)

can we skip today as its not any better than yesterday? Today is visit day from a person who i wish i didnt have to visit with. I'm to fucking nice sometimes and just need to tell them to go and take their fucking yapper with them. But I wont I'll sit there bored screaming out of my mind while she yabbers on about shit I couldn't give a flying fuck over or leaves me wanting to shove her face in the grass and leave her there and lock the doors.

I might be a tad bit bitchy:eek:

It's pretty cold here too, and windy and rainy. A nice day for staying indoors. Shame I have to go out :(

I've got the dogs cuddled up with me for warmth LOL.

On a plus note tho, I've got trousers on that I've not worn for months cos I didn't think they fitted me.
