this sucks today as even though it is a bank holiday hubby has to work because we get american holidays off. So everyone else is playing today and we don't get the day off till next Monday when its labor day in the states.

and this is just more of a mood, but damn the kidlet is being stubborn today so I wont be getting any more work done :(

Why on earth to you have American holidays off rather than the english ones?

Unless of course you're American and I'm being a moron.

:D Your not a moron but I am American. We live in england but the hubby (who is English) still works remote for a company in the states. So we take the companies holidays. That is unless we could sneak in a couple English ones but couldn't do that this time as we don't get paid holidays (self contractor) and we are off to the states in a few weeks for vacation.

Spent the afternoon Quad biking, off road driving and laser clay pigeon shooting. Bless my company, they know how to look after their staff.

I admit i was tempted to get on a quad and terrorise the local populace. Maybe ride off with a couple of the pretty women folk.

Why am I not even slightly surprised? I think the only shock is that you showed such restraint that there are no 'young women abducted by giant sadist on quad bike!' news stories. Or maybe you're too cunning to have been found out yet? :eek:

Hi Shy, glad you're having a good weekend. I'm working unfortunately but have tomorrow off so not all bad. I'm self employed though, so no managers for me. Yay!

I co-own a vegan cafe on a double decker, old style routemaster bus. Bit different but works well for me.

As for the rest of us poor work-a-day saps stuck with the same idiot managers... please spare a thought for us :)

Harmony, I feel your pain. My manager couldn;t organise a piss up in a brewery! Bless him, he's a nice chap... but his memory is worse than mine is :)

My manager has her head up her own ass, and if she doesn't like you, you get treated like shit on her shoe.

It travels but from March will stay in Hyde Park for a year. That will hopefully fund bus number 2. I agree, there's not enough places for vegans to eat. We also cater to the dairy/wheat/gluten intolerant.

That's great. I've got friends with food intolerances and they struggle so much when we go out to eat.
