I know. It's insane. People think I'm a walking authority on everything remotely medical. I worked in elderly care, casualty and dialysis. I know pretty much squat about anything else and even my knowledge of dialysis (my most recent speciality) is fast becoming obsolete.

Granted, I was lucky enough to go to a diploma school so I spent 3 days a week working the various specialties, but yes, people still ask me about childhood diseases when I specialized with ventilator-dependent people. Although, now I drive Malin nuts when TV shows and movies have people on vents:devil:

Oh yeah. Master and I were watching a TV show with an intubation scene. It was supposed to be all dramatic and poignant but I had a giggle fit because the serious looking actor playing the Dr was holding his airway upside down. :D

OMG.. the first time I saw Backdraft in the theater and the lead character's BP starts falling I started mumbling about the fact that he didnt have O2, they didnt lower his head and they didnt open his IV all the way.. that's when my husband, my ex now, stopped letting me see stuff like that... :devil:

Yeah. Master will give me this incredulous look as if to say 'does it really matter?' but when you get drawn into a movie you temporarily suspend your disbelief and put faith into the movie's alternate reality. Seeing blatant, basic errors like that brings me back to Earth with a bump and I can no longer believe in or enjoy the movie's reality. It spoils my enjoyment of a film almost completely and Master still doesn't really understand that. Hope I'm making sense here.

I was never heading there next month.. lol.... I am leaving for London tomoro for a few days. I did send a PM a while ago, but maybe it was a bit confusing... :eek:

I dunno if I can be there in July, esp when ADR is here too :( I think thats why I sent a PM to you and Shy about meeting next week. Don't worry, I am sure there will be other times I am down in London..
