Okay as an occasional smoker, I am really getting freaked by the damn The TRUTH commercials, in which the evils of the tobacco industry are just thrown in our faces. Damn this guilt, I mean, how do I deal?

my workplace pays for employees to quit smoking. does yours offer anything similar?

False advertising is illegal, unless you're talking about tobacco and marijuana.

You're allowed to make outrageous claims if you're on the right side of the issue.

I don't feel guilty at all, and you shouldn't either...

Quitting is never the easiest. Its the healthiest and cheapest, but never is it the easiest. Even with payment...

remember that philip morris pays for those commercials and that they probably have the opposite effect that they're supposed to. just like the anti-drug commercials. there is no such thing as bad publicity. pm knowes that.

I was just thinking about this again last night. The TRUTH as they like to call themselves are just plain rediculous. Outrageous claims and militant tactics. Their commercials do nothing but piss people off and fuel the ignorant. Funny how they claim"the truth" yet are packed full of lies.

Emotional Terrorism.......

False information, deception, and conspiracy.
The government makes tobacco legal, pays farmers to grow it, collects revenue on export and sales, sues the farmers for growing it, the companies for manufacturing it, takes the lawsuit money and spends 2/3 rds on misc spending, and 1/16th on commercials with no facts to back them up.
That is a direct violation of their R.I.C.O. law!

Outlaw the stuff if it's as bad as they say, passing stupid laws because of outright lies erodes reasoned people's respect for law.

The new visual commercial with the motherly voice telling you that a joint has more carcinogens than 5 cigarettes.
