McDonalds said "ok if you want a pay raise we will replace you with a KIOSK!"

It's a real shame because it will destroy California's economy
California liberals began to destroy the California economy back in the 70's. I watched it happen when Kinko's relocated to Texas and others quickly followed. Like a good little lemming, followed along with the liberal ideology thinking it would be a good thing to help the low income.
What I didn't realize was that California was shedding employers and they left for more welcoming States in ever increasing numbers. Now, there's almost no one left except the those with their hands out. Worse, our legislators are telling us publicly that they don't care that jobs are leaving or that we are suffering a NET LOSS in jobs and population because those aren't the jobs they want here AND those workers aren't wanted here either.
California is well on the way to a Venezuela style collapse.

Kinko's moved to Texas is the 70's? That seems to be around the time your comprehension skills were stunted.

Businesses in Texas have to pay taxes just like they do in California.
When ATMs were introduced by banks in the 70s/80s, the prevailing wisdom was that tellers would be replaced by kiosks. There are now more bank tellers than ever. What happened?
Kinko's moved in the late 70's (79-ish or very very early 80's, 80-81?) from it's corporate HQ in my home town. They abandoned a brand new HQ building to do so because of proposed new business taxes from our liberal dominated legislature.
They were quickly followed by other very savvy companies who saw the writing on the wall. After the top tier left, the second tier also began the exodus during the 80's. The third tier left (real estate moguls and tycoons) in the late 80's to early 90's.
What's left are the Hollywood, the military, service industries, Government, and Silicon valley (which, BTW, don't actually "employ" anyone. Software designers are by law "independent contractors".)
Isla Vista? Corporate HQ? Dafuq?
Close but no cigar.
My question is WHY are you cyber stalking me to find out where I'm located?
No....not even fuckin' remotely close to just like California.
Not nearly as many or as much.
And the regulatory taxes that bury pretty much everyone but megabucks in cali?
Practically non existent in Texas.
If California wasn't so fucking gorgeous and pleasant to exist in place, significantly more so than Texas, they would be the fuck out of bidnizz.
Close but no cigar.

It's his MO. Hide your children.

Let's see the difference.
^^^^ Dude.
Stop answering, because you're embarassing yourself.
I'm the only woman reading this thread at this time, and I'm laughing. What biological male behaves like that?
Proving you're full of shit and/or lying isn't me giving a fuck about where you live.
Kinko's corporate history is available. This Google search took less than 2 seconds and tells you everything you needed to know, though the relocation timeline to Texas is incorrect - not uncommon with Wiki articles. Especially one outlining the rather complicated corporate breakup and restructuring going on at the time. I believe the date they show is the date that the restructuring was completed and everything was finalized. Not the actual date of the physical relocation. If you read the article and think about what was going on, you can easily see how complex it must have been. Thusly having to be condensed for the Wiki article, some of the intricate factual details might be omitted for space and simplification.

I really do live where it all happened. Kinko's was a MAJOR local employer at the time. Only the military and the County government had more employees. When they left it impacted the local economy fairly hard. My neighbor at the time was laid off because they didn't want to relocate the family after having just bought their house.
The building sat empty for years. It is now owned by the County and used for School District HQ and a special ed program.
A final note: I do not lie. I may sometimes be mistaken or may not tell you everything you want to know, but I do not lie.
