The traditional values thread

*Teknight looks at Keroin over the rim of his glasses. A thin smiles snakes itself across his face*
Bring it...toots!

*Tek runs and hides. EEK!*

If there is an impossibly high standard, that's the one I'll aim for. ;)

Um, I don't consider being treated differently from a dog as "special treatment" - I think all humans expect that (except the ones who don't for kink reasons).

If I work for a company and my boss gives me and a male co-worker the same task with the same deadline then I expect that I will have to complete the task within the deadline, in exactly the same way my male co-worker will. I don't expect any leeway on that just because I have a vagina and I would be PISSED if I was given any gender-based leeway.

How can I have any pride in myself otherwise?

Well, ditto - but not at work, if you work for me. ;)

What if you got paid more?

Thing about work, theirs a certain level of professionalism per job that you have to have anyway.

This is how I imagine YC dancing.

He's a traditionalist after all.

Ahem, wrong traditional

Is Tina a whirling dervish in the one vid?

Pretty close!

I tend to prefer young Tina to older Tina.

Har! My best friend and I did that dance on the streets of Vancouver one night...after a few bevvies.

Good times. :)

I've done that :p

Uh oh...

The AV's are speaking again. Well, actually, this time they're dancing.

Stella

Cutie Mouse

JMohegan

Hahahahahaha nice.

Bahahahaha! What a good dance :D

I can't dance. But my man can, he's really sexy when he dances.

Wouldn't care.

LOL. Well, I didn't want to be TOO obvious. :D

Tek

Yanks

Mister Sir

Flattered. :rose:

A few minutes after this scene, Kelly dances with a guy dressed up to look like a young man just going off to college for the first time. Many years later, he returned to the Chicago area and took up residence with my wife's former music teacher. We had delightful dinners with them several times and oh did he have wonderful stories to tell about Gene (who was his teacher and mentor) and the others.

Cool!

You just have that romantic/happy-go-lucky vibe, Yanks. What can I say?

Oh, you could say lots of things but this works just fine, thanks.

So when are you going to get back into the av-reading business?

Wasn't much of a market for it, as it turns out. I mean, lots of promises but not much $$.

Maybe this new niche will work out?

I don't recall there ever being any mention of exchange of moolah or spondoolicks, so to speak. I also don't recall ever seeing mine read.

Oh well.

Wouldn't care.

I call BS. You'd take the raise, rub it in that coworkers face, and use it to install a glass ceiling in his cubical.

:D

Seriously though, it's not like I would convict the guy and let the female accomplice go. It's more about character flaws... I think. It's hard to articulate cause it's not a conscious thing, just something i have noticed about myself.

PS. In addition to having their ballet dreams dashed, a lot of men also have their parenting dreams destroyed when the mother gets their child.

Now I've got Por Una Cabeza stuck in my head.

This makes me miss Shank.

Ooo, great thread. I'll have a read through later. (Yes, I also miss Shank).

The tango, now that I think of it, is a very D/s dance. I suppose the Paso Doble could be seen in that light as well - objectification of the woman. Curious.
