A Quaker State Super Bowl is a definite possibility. Without cheating, I think that'd be the first time two teams from the same state were in the SB.

Now I never bet basketball, but a couple games ago I threw fifty bucks on the Sonics to beat Portland......
After they'd been beaten by the Jail Blazers once already.
So I let it ride. Then they beat the Spurs (what a game that was). Then tonight, they beat the Mavs in another thriller.
So now I have $620 in my Sonics account (cause I bet 'em straight up every time) off a fifty dollar bet. Should I let it ride against the Celtics and the Lakers coming to town? I think I should cash out.
I am not sure the Sonics are for real, if you want to know the truth. Hometown team and all, but I don't bet basketball. Still, it's tempting, to roll it over against the Celts.

I'd let it ride. The Celtics are 3-7 and the Lakers are playing .500 ball. The Sonics are hot and will be at home for both games. If you're cautious, take a hundred out of the account, and let the rest ride. That way the worst you can do is double your money.

Yeah, I couldn't see giving eight to the Celtics so I didn't bet it all ... then Payton comes into town and kicks our ass. Dropped $100 on that one.
My football picks for the week, in case anyone's interested in how much money I'm gonna lose. Of course, I can make it all up on that exciting Tennesee-KC game on MNF (ugh).
Steelers to cover 6 over NY Jets $100
Rams with seven against Carolina $100
Oakland with 7 1/2 against the Falcons for $250
Got a couple parlays too (never met a three game parlay I didn't like) with over-unders and so on, but those are my wagers for the week.
Too drunk to post any more (at least in this thread).

I've always believed this is the time of year to stop betting pro football. Early in the season, fans, expecially those in New York, always seems to be over optimistic about the home team. By now, even the dumbest "homer" bettor is starting to wise up, so the line becomes harder to beat.
Then you have the Saints, on a three game losing streak, a seven point road dog to the Cowboys (who face a must win situation) whipping the 'Pokes by 14.
