Well, the smell and taste depends on a lot of different things! Including the woman, how along she is in her cycle, and a little bit on what she's eating.

I don't think pussy smells like tuna, but I can guess at why people pick that as an example. Tuna does have a tangy note in it (almost lemony) which is similar to the tanginess of female juices. Also tuna is sometimes salty, and pussy is salty. People being made out of meat, they do in general taste vaguely meaty (a mix of oil and iron tastes?). The rest is probably just metaphor - tuna has a reputation as a strong 'love it or hate it' flavor.

To try to describe in words something as individual and physical as the "scent of a woman" is virtually impossible. The whole fish analogy has always struck me as exceedingly insulting, and incredibly far off the mark.

As a writer of stories here on Lit, I've set my task to try to make people understand the action and experiences going on with words. There are many things that are nearly impossible to describe using just the English language and do any sort of justice.

The problem gets to be, if you've never experienced certain things, you don't have a frame of reference for it. What I see this thread as being (any other interpretations aside) is an attempt to describe something to those who have no frame of reference.
