a thing of beauty, but i can see why that would hurt.
Wow.
It hurts because it's squeezing through an itty bitty tube, not because it's sharp. Still. Fucking wow.

There's pain, then there is kidney stone pain. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.
as the stone travels through your system. the pressure build up is worse than the exit
a stone coming out hurts a lot more than a catheter going in, so i'm told, so it seems logical that the abrasiveness would contribute to the pain.
I've had one. Two, actually. Once it passes through the little tiny tube the pain goes away until you pee it out. Pissing it out is more uncomfortable than painful. The period of horrific pain comes from the size of the tube it goes through on the way to the penis, not the sharpy triangles. If you look at Dove Soap under a microscope I'm sure it looks like shards of jagged glass. I'm sure.
I currently have a stone that is too big to pass. It's being held in place by cysts. I have kidney issues.
Do we know if that image is a photo of:
(1) calcium oxalate kidney stone or a
(2) uric acid kidney stone ?

I've had stones twice.
I now do everything possible to prevent them.
You are right - I wouldn't wish them on my worst enemy..... not even KRC!
