ok i know there was a thread about this somewhere but i dont know where and i dont feel like reading back

whats up with the submissions that change font and size in the middle of a story?

is it our fault? how do we fix it?

how about losing pages off a submission? that's happened to one of mine. i've dropped a message in, but so far to no avail.

anyone else in the same boat? it kinda kicks the arse outta a story!

Using <center> or <blockquote> are the culprits. Anything I've posted with either of those has the problem, while those without don't seem to.

I think most of the special character issues are fixed now, although a few are still showing double hyphens for dashes.

Things also seem to go better if you submit with the...um, whatyacall it: <i>italic</> that sort of thing rather than just a document that has italics and note to the editor that there are special characters. If you cut and paste in a document rather than use an attachment.

Doesn't help the font switch after center/blockquote, though. I submit all my stories in plain text with all the HTML for italics/etc manually inserted. For some reason, the text processor is just choking on those two html tags.

Resubmit the story as an edit? That would probably be the fastest way, and with luck it won't happen twice...

Just clicked into one of my stories.

It looks like the problem is fixed.

I still see some double hyphens on a few, but from the stories I can remember using blockquote and center in, that problem appears to be fixed on mine as well.
