Mean ol' founders confounding the designs of the mob to remove the president.
Of the many obnoxiously stupid ideas in this article is the idea that skin color and "education" levels need some sort of them-specific representation. It seems that there ought to be policies* that are best for the country, writ large and those policies resulting in security and prosperity should be beneficial for all regardless of one's background. Which group of citizens would be advantaged by living in a stagnant, insecure country?
Regardless of one's political stripe, if Washington is less powerful and less influential than it matters a whole lot less. The whole point of the exercise was to get things done at a local and possibly state level.
*we can certainly disagree with what those policies should be, I can't imagine why anyone would set out to curtail prosperity.
