That's the Jayhawk motto!

Ad astra per aspera.

And if we get past Iowa State today, we will end the season as the #1 team in the nation.

Happy Sunday!!!

Up for a bit, coffee is on, laundry is started. Trying to get some things tidied up in this dump of a house. If the side work cranks up like I hope it will do, time will become a premium item. Sleep is already becoming that way. So I slept in a bit this morning, and the Boss Cat allowed it.

I did get one lingering task completed this weekend: Mom's hall bathroom. That'll get (and keep) her off my ass.

I know that I have two counter top replacement gigs already for next weekend.

Right, and the ObamaCare premiums are way high as fuck for a one-horse policy. A deal-breaker if ever there were one.

So, Current Thinking is, keep the day job for the insurance and the steady paycheck. Keep the driving gig for the steady few bucks it brings in, and the continuity with Uncle. Pursue the "Stimulus" work and get that built back up so it will fill in the gaps . . . like gaps that get lost as "spare time."

I think I have been able to save nearly $500/year on my house-n-auto insurance bills without even switching to the Gecko.

Maybe the cats got him when he tried to sneak in.

It is a sad state of affairs, to be forced to stay in a job in order to have insurance...

Mandated insurance.

:(

.

Do you have a lower premium and get to keep your doctor and insurance plan like Obama promised? ;)

The job, if managed properly, might be made palatable. I'm just thinking that being a clunk for them will keep me out of management cross-hairs and keep those 40 hours task-oriented and reasonably carefree.

If possible . . . .

If continuing to go to Patient First qualifies as "keeping my doctor," then yes.

My lowest premium was when I self-insured and figured that if anything catastrophic happened, that it would be in a car accident and the other guy's fault. Even with ObamaCare, that's what has happened, basically.

^^^ The bootstrappiest guys on Lit absolutely loathe Personal Responsibility.

Liars gonna lie.

Like any old cheap rug.

I've always wondered why I have met and know more Houston Litsters than he does, and he "lives" there.

I work here too.
You remember "work", don'tcha?

Let me know the next time you're here in Houston. I want to see if it's true what they say about you.
