It seems that he is, and that perchance he drinks a bit . . .

too much.

Junior made an observation when he was being the batboy about where he'd be in 20 years versus where some of these kid/atheletes with the fancy cars and big contracts would be . . . and who would have what percentage of what he had earned by that point. It would be interestin' to see . . . just how right he is.

Off to do the weasel thing . . . .

She's beautiful, but this morning, the Mississippi was just as beautiful and even more powerful...

As icy cold water flows south and the warm winds blow strongly from the south, within it s banks is a river of fog flowing in waves and banners northward to assure those upstream that Spring is on its way.

Happy Thursday!!!

It's warmer this morning than it was last night when I came in. According to the forecast, it's not going below freezing for the next 10 days, and we'll have 2 or 3 days in the 60s, in addition to today. I can handle that.

We have all the big boss weasels in next week for the monthly draw inspection and to attempt to turn some units over as complete. So we be scrambling for the next few days to get this stuff ready.

And then the next job could be in . . . Timbuktu . . . .

The good morning news is predicting possible ice storms beginning to night for much of the midwest including us...

:(

Hopefully they're just selling commercials.

I'll be burning josh sticks and praying to Buddha's burnished brass balls that all we get is a rain event.

We're in for it starting Sat. Rain, rain, turning to ice by Mon. Meanwhile, up in the Mtn's, they're having to close some of the ski resorts...........too much snow. :D

We were warned that Glowball Warning would result in fluffier snow.

Did you catch my SciFi thread?

It seems to have gone over the heads of quite a few...

I was thinking.

I came across people who call themselves conservatives and liberals both IRL in Australia and here, on the GB.

But my experience of those who call themselves liberals couldn't be any different.

I personally find that the GB liberals share more similarities in mentality with those who call themselves conservatives over here.

So, to arrive at my question:

Isn't the term "liberalism" as it is employed currently in the US a misnomer? I don't think that your guys are authentic liberals; they sound more like globalists.

And why is the US so divided on so many different lines like religion, politics or so on?

Is it manufactured or a natural progression in a specific society with a specific background?

Because one doesnn't see that level of divisivenness in other former Brittish colonies.
Yet despite this and on a personal level, I can say that those americans that I met IRL were more laid back and mellow than other nationalities.
