They make floor outlets, you know, with lovely brass covers and all sorts of wonderful shit. Just have the chair especially wired once you pick a location. This presumes that you don't have to remove the basement ceiling to do it . . . unless it's acoustic tile.

The coffee here is okay. I'm near the airport but I can't hear it, so that's nice. That may explain why there is a strip club a block and a half in one direction and a block in the other. In case I get all lonely . . . an' shit.


The sun isn't quite up just yet, but it stays up 40 minutes later than "back home."


The humidity is a lot lower this time of year, in that what-passes-for-their-winter. I'm not even braced for it . . . .

We've been talking about ripping up the carpet and replacing it with vinyl/hardwood flooring, so I'll save a project like that for a more opportune time.

I don't get Litsters's attitude towards renard and a few other posters.
They put him on iggy, while they never ignore those who only come up with mediocre or formulaic things.

He sometimes comes up with conspiracy theories and other things that seem jaw -dropping to me as well.
But if one disregards that part and focuses on the good, they realise that he's in fact a quite intelligent and well-read poster, and his posts prompt one to reflect on out many things that they wouldn't otherwise.

I think you might be right about that.
But he's a necessary ingredient for such discussions. He's more imaginative and an out of the box thinker than the typical political poster. He often reignites the sparks so to speak, and it's up to those who have more skills in those areas to take it from there.

Last full day here in the southland. Junior has to go into work this morning to over the counting of half a warehouse of tobacco. They still make cigars here. There's a really neat old cigar plant that we've passed when out riding about. He says that this place is old, too.


Maybe they'll give him a complimentary box of hand-rolleds. Maybe I'd smoke one if they do, but I'm not so sure that's the brightest thing I could do. Meh, we'll see. Can't smoke what doesn't show up.

I decided to listen to AJ + another poster's advice and stop these justice fights or board interactions that won't lead to anything other than increased bile within me.

No matter how annoying many of these cunts are, I have none on iggy. That's right, not a one of them. I can see them all - reading them is 100% optional. I do skim past or skip outright a good many posts here. Why? I am 100% in control of my own blood pressure and my own apoplexy. If one of these cunts is engaged in a level of cuntishness or st00piddity beyond all reason or rational comprehension, keeping moving on past is the only rational answer.


Most of these twits have no interest in an exchange of ideas. They want validation for their own bullshit cards because they have an overarching and all-consuming need to be "right". Because they aren't the smartest or most popular, they have to be all those things. You can imagine that, because they couldn't act, they had to be in the school plays, because they couldn't play, they had to be in the school orchestra, and because their skills were lacking, they had to be captain of the baseball teams - if they even tried that hard in Real Life. My guess: they failed at that, too. Most were likely quitters. The Intrawebz provides a lost-cost forum for their "expression," and they have honed these "skillz" for 15 years now.


It's a "literature" site, so expect a lot of fantasy, imagination, and fiction. Blessed is s/he who, having no expectations, is impossible to disappoint. Like the tits, expect most of the posters to be fake.
