I tried to take a short nap, put on a long movie.

Now that everyone is always gone all the time, Princess's hell hound has too much pent up energy. Every loud sound in the movie caused a fit of barking.

Now that all my other cats have snuffed it, the remaining kitteh spends most of my time at home pretty much broken off up my ass. He climbs up on me, chats me up, rubs his nose on me, and generally does everything he can to get my attention. He does sghoo, but he comes right back not long after.


I feed him really good food and always include him in household activities. He hates cleaning. He's much better at messes.


He really either needs to get a job or to write a book.

Happy Saturday!!!


Up early for a work day today - a side job. Leftover stimulus work. Apartment cabinets. Easy enough to go fairly quickly, profitable enough to keep me coming back, and just complex enough to remain interesting without slowing a project down.


I asked a guy to help me with this one, so I don't have to haul all the used stuff to the truck and load it into the dumpster alone. And it shares the gift.

In other news, the kids got home from the Mediterranean. They seem to have had a ball, and the kids they were chaperoning behaved, so that made their lives so very much easier.


But they were on tour, and Junior likes to go on vacation to exotic places, meet strange new people, avoid them, and have a few drinks on the beaches. He got marched about on this trip from one Scenic Attraction to Another. He said it was nice to see all the sights, but the regimen wasn't . . . restful.


The kid works hard and likes a break sometimes. I wonder how that happened . . . .
