The Queen took yet another lawnmower out of commission, so I have to hurry up on the repairs to the other one that she took out of commission. The former has a design flaw, the latter is just getting too old. I'd ban her from mowing, but she enjoys it so much...

It's soggy feeling outside from the t-storms last night. I can hardly wait to sweat my brains out today.


Good news is, the loaner Mazda a/c works better than my truck a/c.


My lawn mower is hanging in there by a few threads. I've killed two in this yard in the 10 years I've lived here. I may just get a weedeater next time and to Hell with mowers, if this one dies past repair.

I'm a big fan of mulch, raised gardens, decorative rock beds and Roundup...



... which is why I hate the chickens, as I said in the past, mulch is crack for chickens.

I'm slowly making more beds of shrubs as I acquire them. Two of the three nandinas that I stole in June died, but the one is thriving.


That and vegetables. Grow more food. I'd like to farm half of the double lot next door, but the feral humans would just fuck that up like a football bat.


Less grass is a good thing. Then they are all weeds.

Hell, a lot of our acreage isn't even grass, it is just stuff that can live under the three-inch rule...



Up by the garage/pole barn, we got some stuff growing that could live under the one-inch rule. I'm rooting for it to take over the rest of the yard, but it mostly seems to thrive where nothing else can grow.

I have a POS similar to this one instead of a mower with blades. It doesn't do woody brush.

That's a thought. The good news is, I think that the breaking pieces of Rotating Assembly can be replaced.


I ran into the neighbor's water meter closet and bent the fucking blade and cracked the blade mounting blocks. I decided that, fuck him and the cheap ass goat he rode in on, he can cunt that part of his yard his own fucking self.


Thanks also for the good day wishes. It was a good day - long, but productive and with an opportunity to be of service to others, too.


My last two work weeks have been long and hot and a bit trying, but they have been my most satisfying work weeks in . . . years, if not decades.

Happy FAPtastic Friday!!! Got the wee pay from the small job today, which is always nice.


It's supposed to be a tad cooler here today, still humid, and still with its chance of t-storms and such. The watermelons will like it a bit better without as much direct sun beating down on them. Poor people.


And they'll be working tomorrow, too, of course. Which means that I'll be working tomorrow, too. Of course. Hey, gotta job, and it ain't hard.


I should get the truck back today, I hope. Stae vehicle inspection is always a bit like a grab bag - you'll never quite be certain of what you'll get.

No, it's an 8:12 pitch shingle roof. A bit steep to be messing with. But the rain only gauged out to .07", according to the weather service. The big boss was pissed.


I haven't had these squabbles over weather since I was in underground construction.


Looks like more rain at mid-day today. We'll see . . . .
