The Secret Mansion ((Open For 1 Male))

When she snatched her hand away and hid the cut it calmed his urges and his changes begain to subside. He reminded himself 'in due time. This was not the place nor time for her'.

He stepped up next to her in the wide cave. "Only just two days ago did I venture into this cavern."

He watched her reach up and lay her hands against the wall. "Yes dear one there is a pool a little further along. My wife I spoke of and I would swim in this very pool. The water was very cold but refreshing all at the same time. She believed it had healing properties."

"Wife. Again. Really? Why do l keep reminding him of that?" She thought to herself as she looked in his direction. "Healing? Why would she think it would heal?" She asked softly, taken back a bit by the way his green eyes seemed to glow in the dark. "His wife was a very lucky women." She thought before she grinned at him. "So, you run around the forest, in the dark, and you swim in a cave? You are the oddest man l've ever met." It was ment as a very high complement. He wasn't just odd, but amazingly shocking and fun to be around.

She lowered the light when she saw a light glow coming from a bit deeper. "Is that it?" She moved the lantern over to him, giving it to him before running forward, carefully. The ground was getting wetter, so she made sure not to slip. "Do you still swim now?" She called back as she slows down to a stop, seeing the pool. "Oh wow," She smiles brightly, seeing the clear water.

It looked breath taking. It was so blue. More so then the lake was. She walked over to the edge and bent down, letting strands of hair fall into her face as she stared at her own reflection. "It's really pretty." Cassie whispered.

He turned to her as she spoke. "She believed it could Cassie. We were never able to find if it actually would but she held onto her beliefs." She noticed his face never changed expressions while in the cave. "Yes I could see why you would consider it odd. It is my life now however. It was what I am accustomed to. My pure attempts at survival."

He began walking down towards the water after her. "From what I know this underground lake has been here for many centuries. A hidden secret if you will. Unfortunately I no longer swim in it and feel the touch of the cool water on my skin."

He walked up and stood beside her at the edge looking out over the lake never letting the water touch his boots. "Maybe you will be able to prove my long departed wife right or wrong about the properties of the water. You remind me so much of her Cassie. Your eagerness to explore the unknown. You even look like her to a degree."

"That's to bad," She moved her unwounded hand to the water and felt the chilling temperature. "The water seems like it would feel amazing in hot weather." she told him as shr pulled her hand back and shook the droplets off her hand. When he came to stand beside her, she peeked up, seeing his expression. Slowly, she stood up and watched him.

"l'm glad and both sorry about how l remind you of your wife. I honestly didn't mean to upset you in anyway. l just wanted to hang out with you a bit is all." She turned and looked at the water. "Well, sure if you want me to prove or disprove what she thought of this water, l'd be happy to if that made you feel even the slightest bit better."

She thought about that for a moment before shaking her head, "You know what, l'll try out her theory, if you get in the water." She tried this with her mother a number of time. Tried to get her into the forest, to get over her fathers and brothers death, even a little bit. She never went for it thought.

"Come on Marcus. Just get in then hop right back out. It'll be easy." Cassie told him, mentally daring him to get in. "l'll get in at the same time if it makes you feel better."

He stood there still looking out over the water staring straight ahead. "No need to feel sorry dear one. I am not upset. Feelings are something that do not come over me much anymore. Looking at you and seeing her is a reprieve for such a lost soul as mine."

He finally turned and cast his eyes on her. "It has been a very long time. But yes I will step into the water if that is your desire."

He turns back towards the underground lake staring out across it again.

"I don't want you to get into the water because l asked." She told him quickly. "If your not ready, your not ready. l understand." She bit her bottom lip as she looked at him, seeing his emotionless face. "l'm sorry if l made you come to far into the cave. You can leave if you want, l know my way back." Cassie grabbed his hand, reassuring him, before pulling it back, not realizing she had grabbed him with her wounded hand, that she accidentally left behind a little blood. "Here, let me test it out for you."

She got on her hands and knees and dipped her hand into the water, shivering a bit as she did. It didn't feel like anything was happening, like there was anything special. After about three minutes, she tugged her hand a bit and looked at her palm, seeing the cut still there before looking at Marcus.

"Your wife had a very free thinking mind." She stood up, "That's good. Not a lot of people have that anymore. Moat are quick to judge and like to stick to one think. Even if it's wrong." As she talked, she moved away from him, walking along the edge. "lt would hsve been amazing to meet her. l'm sure we would have become great friends!"

He had slipped into such a trance into the recesses of his mind he felt her hand but the blood she left on his skin took no effect on him at the moment. Then he finally spoke to her without moving. "Being ready is not an issue dear one. But I would never leave you here alone."

Her heard her mention the water and took it as it having no affect as to heal her hand. "She had her thoughts. Would never believe different. You and she would have been kindred spirits. As she said the water was always so calming."

Still seeming to be in a trance like state he began walking into the water, never leaning down to swim. Standing straight and continuing to walk, the water rose higher and higher on his body with each step he took across the sloping bottom.

Cassie laughed a bit at that. "Kindred spirits? I would have loved to know what that would have felt like." She stopped walking as she sae him get into the water. At first she just thought he was just going to get in then jump right back out, but instead he just walking forward, allowing the water to rise higher and higher on his body. Sure, he was pretty tall, but she didn't know how far he would go. Not in the odd state he was in right now. "Ummm, Marcus, come on let's go. l want to go look around the forest." She told him as she followed him on the edge. "Your getting yourself all wet and it's suppose to rain! lf you go out you'll catch your death."

When he didn't listen, she kicked her shoes off and moved into the water, gasping at the tempture. "How are you just walking?" Cassie mumbled to herself before she moved over to him and grabbed his arm before tugging him backwards. "Hey, Marcus, what are you doing? Scratch that, what are you thinking?"

She pulled on his arm and his mind drifted back to the present. He turned and looked at her with his eyes a dark dark green....darker than they had been before. "I am fine dear child. There are truths about me you are not yet ready for. I shall return shortly bearing a gift for you. Simply take your rest at the edge and wait."

With that statement he turned away from Cassie and began walking into the lake again. She watched as soon his head went completely under the water. Shortly thereafter...in a time span of 3 to 4 minutes...the water where his head went under began stirring again as he began raising back up out of the lake one step and a time. As more of his body came into view she noticed that there was something dangling from his hand. He walked towards her sitting on the edge and stretched out his arm towards her. He opened his hand up and in his palm lay a necklace....

"A gift for you dear one."

"Wait, a gift? l... l don't need one. Really." She told him, more then just a bit confused by the way he was acting. At least he was looking at her though. So, she let him arm go. Slowly, she moved back to the edge, watching as Marcus walked deeper, until his head was completely under the water. "Oh god," She pulled herself out of the water and wrapped her arms around herself, as she thought, "Why l'd let him go under? What if he doesn't come up? She pulled her legs up to her chest and wrapped her arms around them.

"Stop worrying. He said he'd be back. He said so." She thought, even though her nervousness grew minute after minute, until she saw something moving in the water. A loud sigh of relief escaped her as she saw his head appear then slowly the rest of him body. Her eyes moved over him to see if he was okay, only to see his hand closed with something inside of it.

When he came to a stop a few inches away, he held out his hand and opened it, showing her the necklace. Honestly, it was breath taking. lt was something she would love to have, but her mind was on other things right now. Like how he scared the hell out of her. Cassie looked ip at him and suddenly got back into the water, pushing him back. "What the hell Marcus! l thought you were trying to kill yourself. You were down there forever!" She snapped, pushing his hand away.

"You should have told me what you were getting. Or a simple, l'm not killing myself would have been great!" Tears welled up in her eyes. "That was cruel what you just did."

He took a step back as she pushed him and stood there with no expression on his face as she pushed his hand away. "Do not cry dear one. I am deeply remorseful for the alarm I caused you but there is no need to fear for me. As I stated before there are things that you have yet to learn concerning me."

He reached out and grabbed her arm pulling her hand towards him. He laid the necklace in her hand then let her arm go. "This necklace once belonged to my wife. And now it belongs to you."

He walked up out of the water past her then turned and stared out into the lake once again seemingly slipping into a trance the same as before. He began speaking in a langauge she didn't understand but then his speaking turned back to English as he spoke not towards her but more directed to the middle of the lake..."But first on Earth as Vampire sent, Thy corpse shall from its tomb be rent..." The middle of the lake bubbled up then stopped and the bubbles dissipated.

He turned and began walking towards the exit of the cave then stopped and turned and looked at Cassie with the fierceness in his eyes she had seen right before they walked into the cave earlier..."Unable are the loved to die for love is immortal." He turned again and began making his way up out of the cave.

She looked down at the necklace that laid in her hand before looking up at Marcus as he walked towards the exit. She had sudden urge to just wait until he was gone so she could just go home, but she enjoyed being close to him. Even when he was acting on the weird side. Quickly, she looked back at the middle of the lake where the bubbles had come from. Gentle, she swam over to where they were, using her arms to pull her forward. She took a moment to take a deep breath before she dove under, leaving her eyes open so she could look around. Nothing. There was absolutely nothing down here to make the water bubble up like that.

With a small gasp, she came back up and swam to the edge, pulling herself up before brushing her wet hair outof her face. Cassie stood up and looked at the necklace for a moment before moving it around her neck and hooking the two ends together. Once it was on, she grabbed the drenched skirt of her dress and twisted it, letting out some of the water before grabbing the lantern and making her way out if the cave.

As she walked higher, she could hear the rain outside pouring down. "Guess it's time to go home." She crouched forward as the cave got smaller, at the same time she could see the exit. Cassie blow the lantern out as she walked outside.

When Marcus had exited the cave he circled around and climbed to the top of the entrance and perched there in the rain...sitting the same way he was earlier that morning when Cassie first came to the entrance. He could hear her coming up towards the exit. As soon as she cleared the entrance to the cave, he looked down on her from above...

"You didn't find anything did you dear one?"

When she heard his voice, she jumped and turned around as quickly as possible. After a moment, she calmed herself down and shook her head, "No. l didn't find anything. How'd you do that?" She asked him as she crossed her arms over her chest, trying to shield herself from the cold air. "And why are you back up there again? Do you enjoy trying to scare me, Marcus?"

Cassie moved around the cave and climbed on top of it, moving up to where he was balanced. "Are you upset that you went in there? Or because l actually put your wives necklace on?" she asked softly as she sat down, letting her legs dangle over the edge.

He watched as she came around and sat next to him above the entrance. He turned his head and looked at her and smiled. "I would never scare you deliberately Cassie. You simply seem to be more startled since meeting me."

He slid his legs from under him and over to give her room as he sat on the top of the entrance as well. "And how did I do what? For one thing my dear, it would never upset me to go into that cave...with even less reason now. My wife is now departed and that necklace now belongs to you. From the time we left the cave there will be no more mention of my departed wife. She is no more."

"It's not that l'm more startled because of you." She leaned back. "Actually, I think it's because l'm going insane. l keep hearing this voice that sounds like yours when l walk around by myself. I think it'd you before l look around and see nothing." She looked down at the necklace that hung around her neck suddenly, smiling a the deep red before looking up at him. "Understood. And... thank you. l love the necklace. It's the prettiest thing l've ever seen..." she smiled. "Well... besides your eyes."

"l know l said this before but," she moved her hand up and rested it on his cheek, staring into them. "There so dark. It's a breath taking green." She stroked his cheek for a moment before yanking her hand back and placing it in her lap. "I should head home now and wait for my mother, go change into something dry." She slid off the cave top, landing not gentle, but not to hard on the ground either.

He waited for he to drop to the ground seeing how she landed. Then he slipped off the edge as well and again landed lighter than what should have been possible. "Voices that you believe is mine? Interesting my dear. Maybe there is more going on than what you realize and maybe soon what the voices actually are will become apparent to you. As to the depths you feel from my eyes...do not be alarmed. Soon the truths of everything may become apparent to you. The necklace will help. You may not understand but in time.....you will."

He began walking up towards the hill. "Come dear one. I will again escort you to your home." They walked around the lake and again he stopped at the edge of the woods as she walked to her door. As she was reaching for the door he stared at her and broadcast his whisper into her ear..."Cassie. Sleep well my dear." She turned to look at him and he smiled and bowed his head at her then turned and began walking away.

"I really wish you would just tell me instead of playing all these game with me. l mean, l would at least be interesting in seeing how you do those things. Like how your so good at hearing, or how you can jump doen from so high up and land so lightly, oh and did l mention how fast you are? l've never see anyone do what your able to and the more l'm with you, the more curious l get."

As he started leading the way to her house, she followed him. "Thanks you." she mumbled as she looked at him clothes as they clung to him. Seeing how the muscles on his body rippled with each step. Wheh they got to her house, she again gave him a small wave before heading to the door, waiting to hear her mother walking around. When she didn't hear anything she went to grab the door, only to hear the voice again. Quickly, she looked towards Marcus, seeing his charming smile on his face. As he turned to walk away, she called after him, "Bye Marc-" She stopped, biting her lip. "Hey Marcus.... would you like to come inside?" she asked suddenly. "My mother kept a few of my brothers and fatherd clothes. l'm sure if you want to change into some drier, you could borrow some." Cassie told him as she opened the door up.

He heard her invite him into the house and he spun around quickly and walked towards the house. He walked up to the doorway and stopped before stepping in. His gaze traveled all around the doorway then he looked at the floor as he took a step into the house and then he looked up at her with a deviant smile on his face knowing he was finally invited into the house. "A change of dry clothes would be wonderful dear one. As far as everything I can do...."

Then his look turns more serious and his eyes seem to change showing a deep determination trying to make her understand..."....you will learn but when you say you are ready to learn, make very sure that you are indeed ready because there is no going back."

She bit her lower lip as he stared down at her. "Okay, l understand. lf l'm not a hundred percent ready... l shouldn't ask to learn." She stared at his eyes for a moment before forcing her gaze away and walking into the house, gently closing the door behind her. "I should probably wait anywhere. At least until l introduce you to my mother. If she saw me doing what you could suddenly, she might actually think l'm a vampire." Cassie stretched as she looked around her house from the doorway, making sure her mother really wasn't home. She wouldn't want to freak her out by bring someone home. Her mother might jump straight to her having a crush on him. Not that that wasn't most of the reason she asked in inside.

"Here, follow me." Cassie walked to one of the backroom, the one next to her own. There house wasn't the biggest one, but it was a decent enough size for what us to be four people. "Here, my mother stored a few of their clothes in this wardrobe. When she's really upset she'll come in here. Luckily, she hasn't come in here in a few weeks." She went ocer to the wardrobe and opened it up, There weren't a lot to chose, but she was sure she could find something. After a moment of searching, she pulled out a pair of black pants and a red shirt. "I hope they fit Marcus." She told him as she handed them to him.

"Here, l'm going to go to my bedroom and got change. "If you want something else, you can look. l'll be back." She gave him a smile as she walked out of the room and shut the door before going to her own.

He listened to her trying to rationalize her thoughts and when she mentioned being a Vampire a small smile crept over his face. He followed her into the bedroom.

He watched her as she dug through the wardrobe picking out clothes. She laid the clothes over on the bed and he looked at them then looked back at her. "My my dear one. How would you know to pick my favorite colors?"

He watched her as she walked out of the room and closed the door. He stripped the wet clothes off and dressed in the pants and shirt she had laid before him and then pulled the door back open. He walked out into the house. He had never buttoned up the shirt. It was on but hanging open. He had his back to her door when she finally changed in her own room and begain pulling her door open.

She looked at him from the clothes, a rosy red color started to cover her cheeks. Honestly, she picked them out because she thought they would look really good on him. "Lucky guess." She shrugged her shoulders a bit.

As she walked into her room, she untied her dress and pulled it off her body, laying it in a pile on the door before going over to her own wardrobe. As she searched for something to wear, she grabbed her hair band and pulled it out, letting her damp hair fall down her back. Cassie grabbed a white gown and pulled it on, tying the black sting in the front.

After closing her wardrobe up she walked to the door and opened it up, only to freeze when she saw Marcus already out of the room. From behind, he looked great in those colors. "Are you hungry, Marcus?" She asked softly as she walked out of her room and over to him, only to completely freeze when she saw what he looked like from the front. "Oh... umm," Her eyes ran over his exposed body. "ls something wrong with the buttons," She asked, her voice a bit shaky as she turned her gaze up to his.

He turned when he heard her speak and looked at her standing in the doorway. He smiled at her in the white dress with the necklace accentuating her neck line. "No my dear. I am not hungry. You will find that I do not eat much nor do I require the same nutrition as you."

He turned his head down and looked at his shirt hanging open then he reached and began fastening the buttons from the button. "My apologies dear one. I did not mean to shock you with my shirt undone. This clothing fits fine."

"I'm going to find out a lot about you, aren't l?" She asked him. When he started to button up his shirt, she moved her hand to his arm, grabbed it to stop him. "l never said that l didn't like your shirt being undone. I... l was just making sure it fit you alright." She moved her hand away and placed it behind her back before walking around him, going to the dining room table where a basket of fruit laid.

She grabbed a orange and slowly peeled it as she sat down. "If you want, you can stay until the rain lets up.... or my mother comes home and tries to kick you out. l mean, if you want too!"

He had half of the shirt buttoned up when she reached up and stopped him. He raised his eyes to her. "Yes my dear. There is alot to learn about me. Maybe once you see my dwelling you may understand me a little better."

He followed her to the table and sat down with her. "If you would like me to remain as your company then yes I will stay. The rain does not bother me. However I can.....do not choose to be out in the sunlight."
