The reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated

London weather is changing several times a day right now! I'm just outside near Heathrow. 5 minutes ago it was bright blue skies and sunny and now it looks like its gonna chuck it down

It is highly unlikely my death would be reported.
It’s really nice. Paris was much more overcast.

Then, from what I hear from relatives (to be) it’s rained the rest of the year.

Thanks for all the PMs asking if I am OK. I really do appreciate the concern 😊.

I thought my tag line might provide a hint.

Been in Venice and Paris. Now in London, staying with his relatives.

Well in body, if not entirely mind.

Speaking as a Londoner (though no longer resident), where in London? I only ask so we can offer some suggestions for what to see...

It occurs that my previous message might seem like 'asking for too much info', for which, sorry. I only meant, north, south, east or west, close in to the centre or out in the 'burbs? Can make a difference about what to recommend given the size of the place.

Hi hun,

I’d prefer to not say more than SW something. I lived here for four months back in college, so not really sight seeing, just meeting relatives before heading back home tomorrow. My bf’s parents are both British. Staying with his Dad’s sister and her husband. Two of his cousins are also visiting.

SW I get - I'm from that neck of the woods myself. But as you've lived there before there's no need for natives to recommend anything. Enjoy.

Not doing much, resting after our rapid tours of Venice and Paris.

Welcome to the UK.
London is a very small corner of it. There is plenty of nicer places outside the M25.

Mark Twain never actually said that, but he might have.
I attempted to quote Monty Python. "I'm not dead yet.". Then someone clubbed me.

It’s a misattribution I believe, yes.

Though it does sound like something Clemens would have said.

So you were nowhere near the big lever and the sign that says "Do not pull this lever, under any circumstances whatsoever" ?
No, but don't ask about the big red button with tape over it and the sign that says "I say, please do not push this. Thank you, that's very kind."

Glad you had a good time. There’s always things to do in London, window shopping, National Gallery, posh window shopping (Art dealers/Ferrari window shopping) but it’s the obscure stuff that can be fun too.

My sis (who is in the US currently, amazingly enough) lives down south so when I’ve been to visit the last couple of times I managed to locate the house of Number 6 (The Prisoner) and we also did a Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation location finding tour. It was ace.

Brighton, Manchester, Liverpool, York and Edinburgh are also lovely places to visit, with a small but awesome place being Lancaster, but what do I know?
