In these days, with the stress of the economy, of less staff so more work, long working hours, and so on, relaxation takes a front role to life. The ability to escape away, to relieve the stress, to just enjoy life. What is it that you do to relax?

Some of my favorite things include:
1) long hike deep into the woods
2) a slightly chilled glass of wine, opened a half hour or so prior to allow it to breathe
3) Settling in with a good book, and focusing solely upon it.

Messing, simply messing around with orchids.

Weeding (yeah, it's kinky. so sue me)

A good red wine, a 5-year-old cheddar, a fireplace.

A dog asleep on your lap.

1) An hour or two with a good book

2) A deep conversation with a good friend (include the weed and/or the wine here...)

3) A long walk with my MP3 player entertaining me...

A hot bubble bath

A good book and a glass of wine

Snuggling in bed in the middle of the afternoon
