All the motherfuckers who were just about about wanting to be heard and/or venting their (old conservative white male asshole viewpoints) are now regulated to the curb and are furthermore shelved unless they can come with anything different than what they were bringing. Just for this space. They weren't silenced, they were partitioned into their appropriate area.
This is, of course, pending on whether you have them on ignore or not. Because if you already wrote them off, you can't see what they're bitching about.
Take away the audience and there's no show. Or wait...the audience didn't get taken away, they just got directed to a more appropriate theatre. Now, if you can't draw in a crowd to your show even when a better mousetrap is built, who is at fault?

The current "SpeareChucker," whose original moniker here was Andra Jenny. He used to retire his usernames, all of which were exactly that clever, every year or so for no particular reason (not so often any more). It was easier just to call him AJ for continuity's sake and because his usernames are usually hard to spell.
Me and him actually agreed at the time (I guess it's been about 5 years) that there wasn't a great need for a Politics Board, but it's not really a big deal and I don't make the rules. And to be honest, a lack of politics here might make people more apt to start threads, since they won't have to worry about them getting lost amidst Vette's latest idle thoughts about that Durham guy.
