I just woke up and saw footage of the protesting that's going on. I'll give you the fact that most of it was peaceful. But there was and will be widespread destruction and violence fueled by Twitter, Facebook, and other social media platforms.

This. This is why we want to keep our guns.

I don't want some black victim to get the bright idea to come to whitey's neighborhood and destroy our shit. "Yo, Tyrone... Those white people are armed to da teef." "Oh shit, son. Yeah, let's just stick to our hoods."

Wait. What? The protestors were white, too? Oh okay, well then BLM is another reason. What? Protestors for BLM are white as well? And white people flip cars and shit during big sporting events?

Okay fine. I'll concede that it's not all black people.

I'll shoot at a group of white people coming to burn down my house, too. I may not survive, but if enough of the LEGAL Americans own guns, the protestors will stick the their own shitty parts of town.
 
Whatever. It IS hypocrisy on display. Yes they have a right to make their feelings known in a peaceful way. I think it is misguided and frankly, abhorrent. The liberals would have felt the same way if Hillary won and her opponents protested. Our biggest problem in this country is hypocrisy, and there is plenty of that to go around.
I want them to cut the bullshit and get back to work.
 
You can "whatever" all you want, but come on down to Savannah, Ga where we have high crime. There are no violent protests here yet, but we're not immune to it.

You see, I find that all the "whatever" people are people who live in regions where white people are the norm and they've never stepped foot in a ghetto their entire lives. Now, obviously NOT ALL. Perhaps this person is a lovely African American who lives in a lovely black neighborhood where everybody works hard and maintains the peace in their area. Fine, cool. It's out there. Or maybe this person is a white person who lives in the most dangerous city in the US where cops are killing innocent black babies who dindu nuffin. Yeah great.

But the violence is not going away. And thank god... Oh wait, I'm an atheist. Well, thank Lord Trump for saving us from protestors by supporting the 2nd Amendment.

That's where the well-armed militia comes in. Rioters and looters are less likely to attack a group that is armed and ready for them. Instead, they look for easier targets.

I swear to god, you far left wing nuts are so 1-dimensional. I have a gun legally. My neighbors have guns legally, and it's not WHO WILL ACTUALLY die if shit hit the fan.

The guns prevent the riots from happening in the first place.

As we saw in the recent Trump rally, the mere suggestion that somebody has a gun will spur others to attack violently.

No and no. The man was grateful for the Secret Service because they pulled off the angry mob who had dogpiled on him, choking him and grabbing his crotch.

But the dogpiling happened BEFORE anybody yelled anything about a gun. It should not have happened, but it did.

No, the ones who overreacted were those in the crowd who piled on the dude just for holding a sign. The SS escorted Trump off the stage, just as they should have, only because somebody in the crowd shouted, "Gun!" But there was no gun.

And Tromp's team called it an assassination attempt. Right. Meanwhile, Russian government officials had contacts with members of Donald Trump’s campaign team, a senior Russian diplomat said. None dare call it treason.

ObTopic: Diverse California went 61% Clinton. My little rural county full of old white guys went 61% Tromp. (My Stein vote makes me a 1%er.) There were few Tromp signs up and almost no Clinton signs. I think they didn't want to be targeted. There are no protests here but no celebrations either. Everyone seems subdued, waiting for the fallout.

I know what *will* drive protests here -- moves to turn over BLM and National Forest land to states and corporations, i.e. surrendering to the Bundy crowd. Watch what Tromp and the GOP do to federal lands; see if they start dismantling America.

Unfortunately, yes, and this can be done by people of any political affiliation. (except Libertarian) If, on Monday, I had gone to UC Berkeley and waved a sign that said "Hillary is a crook" or something similar, I would have been assaulted. :eek:
