I have questions. I wish to be ready for this important milestone. I wish to be able to grapple with this challenge, take control and exert my dominance.

What size should the Avatar be?
Does the Avatar code open up automatically or should I be writing a polite email/PM to the holy Admins rather than wasting times on postings like this?
Is this community cool or what?
Will it be bad form if I don't have a sexy photograph as an Avatar?
Will the dark side of the Force help me?

Laurel changed the parameters about a week ago. You need 1000 posts now.

At 10,000 you get a pen that's a flashlight.

Less than 150 pixels wide by 150 pixels high.

Once you have the 100 posts you can just add the Av under your user options.

I'm a f*cking techno-moron and I was actually able to do this.

I believe the size is 250x250 pixels max. Lit will let you know if your av is too big. But I'm sticking by my 250x250. *edited to say* DAMN I was wrong. Apparently it's 150x150... No wonder my damn avs are always too big. Good thing mine wasn't the first reply!

No, it is not bad form not to have a sexy av... just take a look around. However, you won't get on Lavy/Joan's list of best avatars that way, if that is a concern. You may get on her worst av's, but that is also a tough title to win.

I don't know about avatar codes... just link to your av if it's online, or browse on your HD and find it there (if you're working with Paintshop, you'll probably be browsing), then hit enter and Lit does the work for you. Shouldn't be any problems, but if there are, post here or talk to admin or something.

Yes the community is cool, just beware some of the stupid posters like... I can't remember. You'll figure out who they are. Just be respectful to others and you'll fit in fine.

The Dark Side, eh? I have my doubts about that...
