The Playground - The place to be??

Ok....so I'm fairly new, limited knowledge of people around here. Attempted to start a thread to encourage newbies to come out and start talking to/meeting people..but after advice, I realised that perhaps the general board isnt the right place for it. They say the playground is the place to be, am I right in thinking this? Would anyone like to introduce themselves??

The Playground is a great place! I stay here mostly. I enjoy going to the general board once in a while as there are a few people over there that are hilarious! However, they might have eaten you alive there (that could be a good thing) but not in this case. Welcome!

Actually, being a dashing vigiliante for newbs everywhere isn't a good idea for the GB or the PlayGround...IMO. Post where you want, fuck everyone else.

Lurking before posting is a good thing, gives them a feel for it. I wish more newbs would do it that way.

You are absolutely correct. Though, an initial lurking period can better accustom you to the humour of a board - doesn't matter if it's the GB or PG.

Not being especially up on US politics, I found my first few posting attempts easier in the PG. In here most noobs either play the word games and say, "Hello .. " to fellow players ... Or, and this is the best option, they dive into The UK Directory / Playgrounders and Proud and announce their arrival.
