In the future you could do what ever you wanted, things were much better in the world. Medical advances were around, and even making all kinds of pleasurable things were being made every day. There had been a bot that was produced for the first time a year ago. They were known as CP 1000 Angel, they could be there for pleasure. Knew every single language could even sing and dance, they were amazing.

They looked human, the way they felt was real feeling as well. Course that was the problem, though all the females were the same. They had the same voice, skin coloring and even eye colors as well. But the creator of such a bot had a daughter, she was beautiful and was very gentle. But no one seemed to really connect with her, she was down to earth and everything. She tried to get friends, but it never happened either.

The maker was named Tom Wolf, and decided to do something special for his daughter. He would make a new bot but only for her, he knew that she needed a man in her life. She had said so a few times in her life time, she may only be eighteen years old. But she was very intelligent, and a lot of guys did not understand her because she was so smart. But she had never really had much of a childhood.

While kids were outside Eden preferred a good book over playing with kids, by the time she was ten she knew three languages, French, Spanish and Russian. She learned German two years later. So her father made the only male bot that would ever be created. It was the CP-Artemis-9000 model, once the bot was created Tom destroyed how to make him. He had organs that were cloned, and could even get his daughter pregnant since she wanted kids one day.

But her father almost destroyed him because when he was being put together, he told Tom he thought he was alive. That scared him that this bot could actually think like that. But it gave him an idea so he told her all about his daughter, and that he was to continue to act human. And took it from there, that was two years ago. He had met Eden when she was sixteen years old, and they seemed to hit it off there.

Eden felt alive when she was with Artemis and called him Art for short, kinda like a term of endearment. They got along very well, always hanging out and her father was very happy about it. She lived alone in a two bedroom home her parents bought her a year ago. She went to the park to meet up with Art enjoying the feel of the warm sun and cool wind. Made her feel really good, rubbing the back of her neck as she sighed happily.

Artemis was conflicted, very conflicted. As an artificially-intelligent robot created by a human, he was made to be a companion to his creator's daughter. But as time had passed and he had experience more of human life, he no longer felt like a combination of hardware and software. He was feeling things that Eden had described to him.

But that wasn't the problem. That was far more complex. Created to be Eden's friend, his maker could never have imagined that his life's work would result in one of his creations falling for his daughter. Simply put, Artemis was madly in love in with Eden.

Of course, nothing could happen. The world would never accept their relationship. More to the point, would Eden accept as more than a friend? Surely not.

Eden had no idea that Artemis was an AI because he looked so human and it was something she never considered. Art was everything to her, a shoulder to cry on. Someone to hold her when she needed it, he was so special but she did not think that he knew how special he was. Eden was unique and they seemed to click just fine, and as it was right now she was really happy. It was a beautiful day and nothing could destroy this moment for them, she heard someone coming.

She turned her head seeing Artemis and her smile grew more warm and vibrant, she was honestly happy to have this moment with him. Getting up she hugged him and kissed his cheek, she was really happy he was here. "Hey Art how are you today?" She was so upbeat and everything it was rather different. When he was around her she was beyond happy, it was something she enjoyed. Since he was all that she had, especially since her mother died a year ago.

Artemis went to meet Eden at the nearby park, as they did nearly every single day. He smiled as he approached her. When he felt her kiss on his check, he would have blushed, if he could.

"How are you today Eden?"

They sat on the grass by a pond that dominated the park. It was a beautiful day, not a cloud in the sky.

She sat down beside him and stretched out "I'm good thanks" She said happily and relaxed a bit more. "Dad busy as always with making a new round of the bots that he makes, something happened with one of them that my father has never told another soul and neither have I" She said more then willing to tell him if he wanted to know, if he asked her about it he would find out that she does not think the bots are just machines. But she wouldn't go into it if he didn't want as she looked up at the sky.

Now Artemis was curious.

"What happened?"

He hoped she knew he wouldn't tell another soul. She had shared many secrets with him, and he had held every single one.

"Her name was Kara she was a very unique robot my father had made, I was in his lab as he was giving her orders, like saying something in German, French and then singing something in Japanese. But when she asked what was to happen to her and said she was merchandise. And I knew something was very wrong. When she said she thought she was alive, my father called in some of his workers and began to dissemble her. I told him that she was unique that she was organic.

Seeing how cold my father was scared me, she said that she was in perfect shape, and even begged her. I was beating against my father, banging on his chest to stop him. Seeing how scared she was made me scared. Soon a scientist that worked for my father started to cart me away. I screamed and shouted, promising to not think, to do everything she was told to do. I still remember what was said" Closing her eyes she remembered it as she spoke. Seeing every little bit in her head.

"I thought I was alive, your disassembling me but why?. I feel perfectly fine I assure you, everything is okay. Please I am begging you, you just built me you can't kill me" She opened up her eyes and sighed a little bit. "She said she was scared, and I said she was scared at the same time. She wanted to live. It showed me just how monstrous my father could be. Just because we have the technology doesn't mean we should do certain things." The words and face she remembered being said by Kara broke her heart.

A tear fell down her cheek and slowly opened her eyes. "Kara was magnificent so much that I am still in contact with her. She is the one that taught me different languages. She is a part of my family as much as you are apart of my family. Humanity only seeks to destroy, and most humans are far from human" She said looking at the sky closing her eyes. "Sometimes just because people have the technology doesn't mean we should use all of it. Because when something like that happens people see them as a freak of nature, when I see them as human"
