Traditionally - a sjambock is a weapon used by south African tribes, a strip of tightly rolled rhino hide that is somewhat flexible and whippy at the tip, very solid down toward the grip. They are not nearly as flexible as whips, but they are far more flexible than sticks or clubs. South African police (under the apartheid government) would use sjambocks to break up riots and disperse crowds. Hard hits can break bones.

Since importing rhino hide is illegal in most countries, most current sjambocks are made of a polymer (like delrin). They can be very stingy at the tip, very thuddy when used close to the handle. Typically they are a meter or so (1 yard+) in length, though riot control sjambocks can be much longer. In BDSM play they are deliciously variable in what you can do with them. *grin*

I can't find a good picture, but it's a hide whip, usully rhino, I believe that's used by farmers and ranchers for moving stock, and if I remember correctly, it's also used by the police in some places in Africa.

A nasty, but effective weapon.

There is a very long list of people that I like on this board. However in most cases I can tell something that wouldn't work out with them such as orientation or distance issues.

Then there are the ones I thought might be perfect who removed themselves from consideration for one reason or another.

Really until I meet them in RL, and develop a relationship that way, I can't know though.

So I can't say this one would be perfect for me because I don't have enough information.

I can say this, if I were single and looking, I'd love to visit a WHOLE lotta people here and try some techniques out, possibly leading to more.
