Does anyone else think FoxNews channel’s Bill O’reilly is THE MAN? I love this guy. I’m ready to do his dishes and call him my stud (…. Ok, not quite). I can’t think of anyone in the press more direct, aware, and clear thinking/speaking. He could care less about ‘politically correct’. He’s only interested in - ‘correct’! He puts people on his show and gets ANSWERS for me. Doesn't mince words; doesn't pander; and while some may find him arrogant, he doesn't insist on his perception (merely drives his point home).
He delivers.
Check him out weeknights 5pst/8est.

Also, I’d like to tip my hat to Press Secretary Ari Fleischer, who does a stellar job communicating information in a direct manner. I only wish the press would spend more time LISTENING to his answers – rather than ask the same damn question 5 times over!
This is a guy who needs to keep a tight lid on certain information. In my opinion he does a tremendous job of that while remaining forthright. Very rare.

My respect to both those guys (very different responsibilities – yet both are equally as effective, and sincere).

Your thoughts?

Why? Cuz the guy has a sideways face? Guess I failed to mention that...

o'reilly sucks

i have never seen a pushier, more bull-headed talk show guy, well maybe king, who also sucks. Could he possibly cut-off more guests mid-sentence?

He has no opinons, just reactions. He has no research, just reactions. He has no questions, just reactions. He is unprepared, deaf as a doornail, and generally regarded as overly-closed as Larry King is overly-open. He has nothing to offer but a raised eye-brow and a nice tie. He is the worst kind of talking head -- the kind that actually believes that because he's on TV he's an authority figure. If you think you can get any information from Bill O'Reilly you probably thought subtraction was the last bit of math you'd ever need.

DZA, In my opinion he cuts off guests mid-sentence when they’re talking a lot…. but not saying anything. He wants to address the point.

DCL, not surprisingly – I disagree with virtually every facet of your statement above. I see the direct opposite. (Although, I never noticed his tie)

Hasta

Yeah. I know you do. Thus the "big silly-head" comment. You also offer no opinions, questions, or research -- just reactions.

Since When -

Should the reporter have an opinion? I'm past tired of the media feeling like they are part of the solution - they just need to give out info.

That's strange...... didn't I initiate this thread (rather than 'react'); state my reasoning/'opinion' clearly; and 'ask' for other opinions. My research is what I've PERSONALLY viewed and determined over the last month (also liked him during the 'recount' campaign. Which I'm sure you supported, eh?). What was your point above then?
It's a damn good thing O'reilly doesn't simply 'react' to his guests position with: "Oh yeah? Well I think you're just a big sill-head!"

TN - no, I'm not a psycho twat (he just calls me a 'twat' cuz he likes to fuck me). But I am kind of a 'big silly-head'...

The No Spin Zone

Oh, yeah, I like O'Reilly.

I don't agree with just everything the man says, but I like his directness. More often than not, I do agree with his opinions. I catch The Factor as often as I can.

Besides, there's a difference between "the news" and "news commentary."

On a slightly different topic, I sure did hate to see Paula Zahn go...

If there is nothing else on at 8, I watch him. Sometimes I like him, sometimes I hate him. I certainly do not agree with a lot he has to say. I don't like the way he treats guests that disagree with him. But it is a fun hour.

Sounds like the way I'd describe the Howard Stern Show. Not a great endorsment for a news commentary program. He's an unprepared amateur with AGENDA burned onto his forehead and an "easy" reactionary response to all things patient. He's on TV because he's a pain in the ass to guests (which is always sock), and not because he's offering any true valuable commentary. A Dog and Pony Show, with snappy graphics.

Ooops, not less than a few times have I been compared to Howard Stern. And - I'm a fan (in some respects). At least we're both consistent... dick (DCL).

I bow to 'Hank, the angry drunken dwarf'. I'm laughing just THINKING about the guy. (RIP)
