It seems that all the "Tiger" talk has settled down in the media. If anyone can when there it's him, but I think writing a check for 750 million dollars has messed up his game a little. His whole life came down like a house of cards but he can only look in the mirror for someone to blame. He'll surpass Jack one day in majors and could win a lot more depending on how great his desire is to keep playing.

I was glad to see the pink panther win yesterday. Playing and winning with that bad thumb was on the level with Tiger's US Open win. And the fifteen year old, man, she hits it a mile already.

Lexi Thompson hits it a ton for sure and she seemed to keep good composure right through the final holes, which is phenomenal. I too liked seeing Creamer win. She has paid her dues, which seems an odd thing to say about a 23 year old.

As for who to back on The Old Course: I want to see Watson play well and it's hard to discount Woods. A dark horse -- and I've no real reason for this -- is Lucas Glover. He has a very steady temperament and I suspect that he won't be too badly thrown off his game if the wind picks up.

Wow, Daly lips out 4 putts and still shoots a 66. The scores are really low this morning but the weather is moving in.

Im hoping rory can finally come good... Its been a long time coming and todays first round score was awesome.. Cannot discount tiger yet though..

There should be an asterisk for the early morning scores. Makes Westwood all that more impressive. But that's golf. You can lose a tournament in the first day or two but you can't win one. We'll have to wait until they make the turn on Sunday to have some clarity I imagine. Especially if the weather turns bad.

I was hoping this was about one of those crosses but it's about golf. Oh well.
