The Obama administration made a terrible trade pact with South Korea

In 2012, President Obama's administration wanted to show solidarity at any cost with South Korea against North Korea. South Korea recognized the weak negotiating position of the United States, and taking a page from the Israel playbook, used this to leverage an obscenely lopsided trade agreement that favors South Korea.

The results are starting to trickle in, and the numbers don't look good for the USA. For every new $1 in exports from the US to South Korea (primarily agricultural products), the United States now appears to absorb $25 in new South Korean imports.

It seems the US got snookered. I blame President Obama.
