The New Planet (closed)

Irma had studied the slate Kylikki brought her for a long time, murmuring softly to herself. A few times Kylikki had asked her what she meant, but got rebuffed each time by a short wave from Irma's hand or by a jerk of her head. After a while Kylikki just sat silently beside Irma.

"This one," Irma pointed at a particular sign, "could be an E. Just because it appears eight times in this sentence. The letters look a bit like old runes I once saw in a book of the King's head scribe. He maybe would know more about them. Where did you find them, Kylikki?"

"I didn't, Draco did." Kylikki wondered if Irma would be satisfied with this answer. Over time Kylikki had felt more and more torn between her promise to Draco, which she had broken on the first day to talk with her grandfather, and her need to tell her family more. Especially about the vast caverns and tunnels beneath their island. Irma only nodded though.

"They look like they were developed to be carved into wood or stone, see? They are all straight lines meeting in angles, or close together and connected by a top or under line or a slanting line. If you find more, copy it and bring it. Maybe, if I have more examples I'll be able to tell more."

It wasn't much she could tell Draco, Kylikki thought as she neared the beach.

"Morning!" she yelled.

Her yell took his attention from the sea to the direction she was coming from. He knew she would probably be surprised he reverted back to telepathy, but that didn't bother him.

Morning to you Kylikki. I thought we could take a flight around the island before we got started today. What do you think?

He lifted up from his seated position for a moment, the snow and sand crunching beneath his weight. He opened his jaws wide for a few moments as he stretched his whole body and wings out for a few seconds before relaxing once more.

Kylikki's head jerked back a moment when Draco's voice boomed in her head.

"A flight? A real flight, not just a lift up or down?" She ran to the rock, took her cloak off, put her backpack down and put her cloak back on.

She climbed the boulder she had leaned against so many weeks ago, and waved at Draco who just closed his jaws.

"Well? What are you waiting for?"

Draco growl-chuckled at her reaction, partly expecting her excitement. He shook his head for a moment before walking over to the boulder, lowering his neck for her to climb onto. Waiting till she was situated, he walked back to the center of the beach, giving plenty of room. A couple strong flaps of his wings and they were flying up into the cold air above the island.

They were just below the dark dark clouds, when he flattened out into large circles so they could look down on the snow-covered island.

The island looks beautiful from up here. Just tell me when you are ready to head back down.

He looked back at her for a moment before going back to the circling. The air was much colder as the temperature slowly dropped as more snow began to fall around them.

The muscles under his scales moved, and that movement made them catch the light as he walked over to Kylikki. She hadn't seen that in a long time. In his human form he didn't glister. Kylikki couldn't keep her eyes off of him.

She mounted him, slid her leg over his neck and shuffled around a bit until she had found her seat. Carefully she wrapped her cloak around her legs, leaned over his neck and put her feet against the bigger scales close to his shoulders. Her hands on the spikes, she was ready for take-off. To her surprise he walked to the middle of the beach. This was a complete new sensation for Kylikki.

She shook softly from the left to the right, and just before he halted she pulled her scarf before her mouth and nose.

The surge as he lifted, made Kylikki yelp for excitement. Her face close to his scales she enjoyed the warmth he radiated, until he stopped climbing higher in the air. Kylikki pushed herself in a sitting position, and looked down.

The island looks beautiful from up here. Just tell me when you are ready to head back down.

"Yes. It looks like a polished pearl with some dark spots. It is marvelous," breathed Kylikki.

It was ice cold up here, much colder than the last time. Kylikki was grateful the hood of her cloak protected her face, especially her eyes a bit against the wind. She caught Draco's eye when he turned his head a bit to look at her. His eye looked enormous from this close by. She felt as if she could drown in his pupil. Only a moment though, then he turned his eye away again.

Kylikki gasped. Snowflakes fell and she thought to hear them sizzle on Draco's skin.

She blinked her eyes and felt her skin taut around her eyes. She nearly wasn't able to close them. She sighed.

"We better go down, it is too cold up here, the windchill is freezing my face." She changed her position again and pressed her face against his neck again. "Or you could fly around for a bit, my face is warm enough now," she said, her voice sounding muffled because she didn't lift her head.

He rumbled in his throat as he did a little chuckle hearing the way she talked. He didn't think she would last for long in the cold air, even pressed against him for warmth. That position just took away the reason for enjoying the view he gave her.

With a tilt of his body, he angled downward in a lazy circle towards the island once more. He snorted for a moment as the snow began falling a little faster and heavier.

Another storm is brewing. Anymore snow and you might get stuck in the cave with me.

To him, the idea wasn't a bad one. It might help push things along towards taking her as his mate. He also know she probably wouldn't be able to sleep on his bed, so he wasn't certain she would do about a bed. They would deal with that problem if it came to that.

As he touched down on the beach, he moved to the boulder, letting her climb off. A light coating of snow had covered her things and the snow had picked up as the sky darken a bit more. Shifting back into humanoid form, Draco waited for her to gather up her things. He held out a hand for her to take, and she would probably notice his lack of claws on his fingers.

"Ready to go?"

Another storm is brewing. Anymore snow and you might get stuck in the cave with me.

Kylikki watched the snowflakes whirl around with every swipe of Draco's wings. Instead of floating down gently on the soft breeze, they were pushed back up in the air again. She looked up at the clouds.

"Not a storm, not for many hours, it is just snow. The path around the small hill is safe enough, my father and I installed a few more ropes after he made the first one many weeks ago. We also made the path itself more secure, simply by using it and by kicking away pebbles and rocks."

She looked down at the island. It was almost invisible. The snow on the ground and in the air obscured all the shapes. It also had become much less cold, now that the snow was falling. She chuckled. Now that the water in her eyes wouldn't freeze, she was able to see much.

Kylikki climbed down from Draco's neck, and almost slipped on the snow covering the boulder. Her backpack in one hand, she laid the other one in Draco's. Again her hand nearly disappeared in his big one. Something was missing though. She looked and saw his talons had gone. She lifted his hand up to her face and grinned. Small black nails, formed like thorns, adorned his fingers.

"Nice. Much more practical I bet."

"Ready to go?"

Instead of answering she turned, stepped closer and slung her hand with the backpack dangling from it over his shoulder.

Her approval of his new hands brought a little smile to his face. He chuckled a little as she automatically slung her arm around his neck in response to his question. It was only a few moments for them to reach the lip of the opening, setting down Kylikki. However he added a little squeeze of her ass just before setting her down.

"Go on ahead, I'll be there shortly."

He grinned a little at the reaction from his liberty on the ass, watching her head on down the tunnel. Once she was out of sight, he turned to look out over the beach. The snow was coming down a little more, not quite thick enough to be of any concern yet. He nodded for a moment, knowing he would have to keep an eye on the weather.

He arrived back in the cavern a few minutes later. He thought it was a good time to show her what he had been working on with the writing. Picking up the chalk, he smiled to her.

"I didn't say anything before, but I've pretty much got down what you showed me earlier. I was able to expand on that if you would like to see."

Feeling Draco's hand squeeze her backside, Kylikki froze a moment. Then she turned and headed down the tunnel. She had walked it so often now, her feet knew when the slope got a bit steeper or where a turn was.

She enjoyed the gentle warmth which engulfed her as she passed the veils.

She hung her gloves and cloak, and unpacked. She only had some fresh fish (frozen in a ice hole they had build) and some smoked fish and bread. And some herbs too brew a tea.

Looking up as Draco entered, expecting him to sit down opposite her, she almost jumped to her feet when he didn't stop and walked over to him too the wall.

"I didn't say anything before, but I've pretty much got down what you showed me earlier. I was able to expand on that if you would like to see."

"Yes please! I have some news too, not much, Irma thinks one of the runes might be an E."

He smiled a bit at her news of the little bit of translation about the wall carvings.

"Well, I guess it is something of a start. Although not much of a help towards a translation."

He turned back to the wall, writing up the phrases she had taught him first. His handwriting was much neater without his talons in the way. Once he finished writing the phrases, he began listing the words he had come up with from the letters she had given him. It was a mixture of actual words, misspelled, and just plain nonsense. Well, most of the nonsense was on purpose, just to see what he could get by with. After he was finished, covering two large sections of wall from ceiling to floor before stepping back.

"Here's what I came up with. If you don't mind correcting me, go ahead."

He grinned for a moment, tossing the chalk to her.

Giggling Kylikki caught the chalk and crossed out all the nonsense words. At one point she tossed it back to Draco, telling him to cross out the nonsense words she couldn't reach. She told him exactly which ones he had to cross and demanded the chalk back.

Now she started to cross out single letters and corrected the misspelled words.

It took her quite a time, and she dithered at a few words. They looked like nonsense, but somehow they didn't. Finally she decided to write them on a new piece of wall and wrote her versions of the words underneath, asking Draco if that was what he meant.

Again she needed his help with the words high on the wall.

"I need a ladder!" She once chuckled. "You are so much taller than I am an your arms reach so much higher. Your letters are very nice now. Do you remember how they looked before? They had all kinds of shapes."

When they were done, she noticed he had only wrote words, no sentences. On a blank space she wrote: This is Draco's home, his nest, and the pile of gold and silver and shiny stones is his bed.

"In this sentence there are six Es and seven Is but only four As. The E is he letter we use the most in our language though."

Helping her through the words, Draco understood where he had messed up in his spelling. So far everything was quite easy to follow for Draco. He laughed for a moment about her joke of a ladder.

"I have no problems to lift you where you need to be."

He also smiled at her compliment about his writing. As she wrote up the sentence, he chuckled. He nodded with agreement on her statement.

"I knew there were other letters beyond what you had given me earlier. Why don't you write all the letters out and I'll check on the weather."

Giving her another smile, he turned and made his way out. As he did, his tail swung around behind him, giving her a hit on her ass.

As he had expected, the snow turned into a large storm. The snow was so thick and heavy, he could barely see through it. He wasn't sure how long it would last, but it would probably be past overnight. When he returned to the cavern, he leaned against the edge of the opening.

"Bad news, you might have to stay here overnight. Your snow has turned into a full blown storm."

"I have no problems to lift you where you need to be."

Kylikki looked up at Draco.

"Thank you. But I don't like my feet dangling below me."

She smiled when he chuckled. She didn't know, if it was about the comment she just made, or about the sentence she wrote though.

"I knew there were other letters beyond what you had given me earlier. Why don't you write all the letters out and I'll check on the weather."

"We always do it this way," she contemplated a few moments, looking at the wall. "It is easier on the children this way, I think. Just copying long lists of letters would be quite dull. Learning the letters and form words is more fun for them. But you aren't a child ..." She looked at the wall a moment, and turned her head to watch him walk away. She saw his tail flip up and was not surprised the tip hit her ass. She bit her lip to not yelp. She didn't think anymore he did it by accident. He had too much control of his tail.

Kylikki wrote the missing letters on the wall, there were not many left. Just J, Q, X and Z. To give him something more to work on, she wrote all the letters in the four versions she knew, big and lower case block letters and connected. Then she had an sudden inspiration and wrote the numbers down as well.

"Bad news, you might have to stay here overnight. Your snow has turned into a full blown storm."

"What!" She turned on her heels. "Already? I thought ... Too bad for you to fly me home?" She was still a moment. Pondered what to do now.

"Could you ... How close do you have to be to someone to talk in their head? Could you tell my mother or my father, or my grandfather that I am okay but wont come home tonight? We are under the village, aren't we? Would you be close enough if you flew to the ceiling?" Pleadingly she looked at him. "They would be very worried if I didn't came home ..."

He gave a nod at her question of the storm being too much to fly home. He was quiet for a few moments as she asked so many questions about trying to contact the others by telepathy. True, he could contact over long distances, but he had only e er done it with his race. Plus he wasn't completely sure how the others of her people would handle it.

He moved to he quietly, stopping in front of her. He looked down at her as he land his hands lightly on her face, using only his fingers.

"Calm yourself. You were the first outside my race I used that method on, and you were scared for a few moments. I could only imagine what someone who has never experienced that could go through, without seeing the source anywhere."

He shook his head softly, pulling one hand away while leaving the other as he spoke once more.

"I'm sure they would understand you probably took shelter with me. After all, you've been spending hours here on very cold days, have you not?"

His fingers moved down beneath her chin slowly for a moment. An idea of what he had saw before, tilting her head up a little. He bent down towards her slowly, placing his lips against hers for a moment.

"Calm yourself. You were the first outside my race I used that method on, and you were scared for a few moments. I could only imagine what someone who has never experienced that could go through, without seeing the source anywhere."

Kylikki wanted to say her grandfather knew about how Draco talked with her when he was in his natural form, but his fingers against her face took her breath away.

"I'm sure they would understand you probably took shelter with me. After all, you've been spending hours here on very cold days, have you not?"

She wanted to shake her head, then nod. But still his fingertips against her cheek hindered her.

And then he moved his fingers, tilted her head up somewhat. Kylikki swallowed, and stared at him. At first she thought her staring made his face bigger but then she realized he was moving it towards her. She parted her lips slightly and her tongue flitted out between them for the tiniest moment.

His lips were hot against hers and she closed her eyes. Her lips felt cold when he moved away. Kylikki opened her eyes, closed her mouth, and gazed into his eyes. She rose on her toes.

He took a deep breathe for a moment after the parted kiss. His tongue licked his lips for a moment, tasting her a bit. He pressed his lips against hers once more, his tongue sliding to touch hers lightly for a moment. However he pulled away, his hand reading for hers before pulling her towards the altar. He sat back on it, lifting her on his lap before wrapping his arms around her.

He kissed her once more, this time his tongue moving more into her mouth, exploring and tasting her. After a few moments, he broke the kiss, panting a little. He pressed his forehead against hers as he whispered softly.

"I have wanted you for my mate since I saw you on the beach."

She didn't see him lick his lips but sensed it. She licked hers too.

His lips landed on hers again, firm and warm. His tongue slid into her mouth, found hers and left again, before she could feel more than a fast, soft touch from its hot firmness.

Kylikki's heart skipped a beat and quickened. She sighed softly when Draco broke the kiss again. She still stood on the tips of her toes when he reached for her hand and she followed him to the altar. She blinked, asked herself if she was dreaming, if she was doing the right thing.

Before she found an answer, he had lifted her on his lap and wrapped his arms around her. As if they had a life of their own Kylikki's arms slid around him, her hands almost touching each other on his spine. Her fingers stroked the hard welts on his spine, knowing these were hard and dangerous spikes in his other form. His lips on hers again, her fingers halted.

The kiss lingered longer than before now, he explored her mouth and she moaned softly as she in turn explored his tongue. Her lips felt soft under his' just as her breasts felt soft against his chest beneath her clothes.

Brow against brow, she took a deep breath to calm her heart, and noticed with some kind of satisfaction Draco's breath came more haggard now.

"I have wanted you for my mate since I saw you on the beach." he whispered.

Kylikki was taken aback.

"Why? How?" She slid her brow away from his, buried her face against his shoulder. "I can't lay eggs."

He smiled softly for a moment as she buried her head in his shoulder. His hand reached up and rested gently on the back of her head, nearly engulfing it with his fingers. They rub her head gently as he whispered.

"No, you can't lays eggs. However I can adapt to your way of mating as easily as I have been adapting your ways."

He ran his tongue lightly against her soft cheek for a moment. His other hand gently ran slowly up and down her back gently.

"The more time I have spent with you, the more I want to be with you."

Kylikki rested in his embrace just as she did when he flew her up or down the stairs. She trusted him to keep her safe then, just as she did now. Although now her trust was mixed with a lot more different feelings than when he flew with her.

His hand moving over her back, his fingers caressing her head, it made it difficult for her to concentrate on his words.

"No, you can't lays eggs. However I can adapt to your way of mating as easily as I have been adapting your ways."

She giggled.

"You really think you have adopted to our ways? You only ever interacted with me!"

A shiver ran down over her spine when he licked her cheek. It felt good, but it also felt a bit strange, as if he was tasting her.

"The more time I have spent with you, the more I want to be with you."

Kylikki pulled her head away from his shoulder, looked at him.

"I like spending time with you. Now. At first ... I only did it because I wanted to learn about you, because we wanted to learn about you and I was worried."

Her hands slipped from his back, moved over his waist, his chest and rested against his shoulders when she stopped moving.

He smiled for a moment as he watched her pull back from resting on his shoulder, listening to her words. He breathed deeply for a few moments as her hands traced over his chest, stopping on his shoulder. He brought his hand around from her behind her head to brush the back of his fingers along her cheeks gently.

"Yes, it is true I've only begun to learn about you and your people, much the same as you beginning to learn about me. It shall take a long time to fully adapt, I'm sure, or I may not fully adapt before I die."

He looked into her eyes for a few moments before speaking once more.

"And how do you feel about me now? Do I still seem like a threat as I seemed to be when we first met? Have I given you any reason for not being around me?"

He glided the back of his fingers down her cheek, beneath her chin and along her neck before pulling away to rest it on her hip gently.

Kylikki closed her eyes a moment when Draco said he might not be able to fully adapt even in his lasting lifetime of a thousand years.

Feeling his gaze on her she opened her eyes when she was the sure she sorrow she felt moments ago wasn't showing in her eyes anymore.

"And how do you feel about me now? Do I still seem like a threat as I seemed to be when we first met? Have I given you any reason for not being around me?"

Slowly she shook her head.

"No. I do feel a connection with you. But I can't say what kind of exactly. I might choose to not be your mate later on," she warned him, her head leaning into his caress, while her fingers caressed his shoulders and upper chest.

He chuckled softly for a moment, not quite sure the best way to respond. He lifted his hand back to her cheek, gently tracing her lips with the tip of his thumb for a moment.

"That would be your choice then, Kylikki. You would not be the first who I've had chosen me as a mate, only to take another later. I would be happy to have you as my mate for as long as you desire."

He leaned forward, kissing her forehead gently for a moment. He pressed his nose close to her, inhaling her scent for a moment before kissing over her cheeks for a moment to meet hers with his once more. His fingers brush gently down along her neck, his fingers gently stroking along the top of her shoulder.

His other hand moved gently back and forth along the small of her back and down over the curve of her shapely ass, fingers kneading softly.

Kylikki nodded, satisfied he didn't press her. She tilted her head, enjoyed his kisses. Contently she swung her feet, tipping against the altar each time she swung them forward.

She stopped it when he started to knead her bottom, and tilted her hips. One of her braids slipped over her shoulder to her chest and she bit her lip. Slowly she she stroked over Draco's shoulders, over his arms and took his hands off of him.

Looking him in the eyes, she swept her other braid forward, took one in each hand and painted a pattern on his chest with the tips of her braids. Just a moment, and then she undid the leather band on her left braid and opened it, combing out each wave with her fingers before she undid the next, softly moaning or gasping once in a while when Draco kneaded faster.

When she was finished, her light blond hair fell in lush waves down over her chest, covering her breast. With a smile on her face she did the same with her other braid.

"If you would have a comb in your bed, I could comb my hair until it shined ..." she whispered. "It would be even longer then ..." She shook her head and hid her face behind a curtain of her hair. From between it, she looked at Draco.

He looked down as she traced over his chest with her braids, watching her carefully. He licked his lips for a moment as he enjoyed watching her unbraid her hair, wondering what she was up to. He gave a chuckled for a moment as she spoke of needing a comb to make her hair shine a little more. He glanced towards the large pile for a moment before looking back at her.

"I do believe I might have one or two of those hidden among the the jewels."

He grinned for a moment as he lifted a bit of her hair to his nose from her shoulder, sniffing her strands. He released her hair after a moment and kissed her softly.

"Perhaps an exchange can be devised for the comb."

He grinned and lowered his hand towards her chest, unsheathing a claw for a moment. His claw touched lightly against a nipple over her top.

"Show me what is beneath your layers of clothing."

She studied him when he talked about an exchange. Then she gasped.

His sharp talon had shot out off his finger and he tipped it against her breast.

"Show me what is beneath your layers of clothing."

A glow spread over her face. She undid the laces on her vest, and slipped it from her shoulders. It fell on Draco's knees and slowly slid to the floor. Pulling up one foot after the other she opened her shoes and let them fall down.

A bit unsure how to proceed, she looked around the chamber. Then she wriggled on Draco's lap, moved back over his thighs a bit. She put her hands firmly in his waist, and slid one foot down until her toes touched the floor. Leaning forward she swung her other foot over his legs and stepped back from him.

She bit her lip, opened her leggings and shoved them down over her hoses. Her shirt covered half her thighs, and her loincloth. She fumbled around her shirt, undid the laces of her hoses. They slid down her legs as soon as the last knot was opened. Now the only things really covering her legs where the thin, knitted, short woolen socks on her feet. Standing on one foot she pulled at the toes and threw them on the pile of clothes beside her.

Both her hands on the seam of her shirt, she lifted it over her head and now stood before Draco only dressed in her loincloth and her breast-band.

"The comb?" She inquired and rubbed her arms quickly, slight goose bumps had risen on her skin there.
