Meh. I've had worse injuries on the farm when I was kid. You don't know how bad an injury is until your grandfather slaps fire on it to stop the bleeding.

Eek! Ouch!

Molly, I'm glad you're hanging around here, your stories of adventure are the best. The one last Thanksgiving with the explosion is still my favorite. :D

Evening, Chocolate. Pardon me for not greeting you earlier. Would you like a drink?

That was an interesting evening. It was probably more attention than I'd ever had from so many ladies in my entire life!

What do you expect from a writer?

I don't remember the explosion...I lead an eventful life.

Yes, ... something hot

I'm looking forward to seeing it. Interlagos is a famous, short, racing circuit with some real differences to the usual ones (I favour the long courses, but . . .).
As to why not Seatle, as far as I know there's only one circuit in the whole of the USA, and that's in Texas, I understand. But we are told that the USA is not that bothered about that type of racing (the rest of the world loves it, of course).
Well, they did have their annual parade at the Indy circuit until a few years back....

The F1 circuit in Austin (COTA) is first-rate, the drivers and fans love it. I hope the one in Jersey comes off next year. That would put two Grand Prix in the USA, plus the one that's already in Montreal.

Now...if someone can just beat Vettel occasionally!
I got to see the race (on tv, of course) at Austin this year and loved it. I've been to Montreal for the race and there's just nothing like seeing one live.

As much as I actually like Vettel, yes, it's nice to see different faces on the podium.

It's crackling nicely. :) We should look for marshmallows.
If I hadn't been busy last night, I would have offered some of my icewine-infused marshmallows. ;)

All it takes is a cattle prod and a whip. They learn quick enough.
They're not the only ones who learn. ;)

Okay, you win!

Oh Drat. Missed!
There will be coffee for whenever you folks are awake.
And scones! Yes, I've got scones to go with the coffee. :)

*walks in with messy bed hair*

Good morning, everyone. Ok, I'm sure it's nice that I'm falling asleep earlier, bit does it really have to be at 10:30 on a Saturday night?

I just had a cup of coffee. I think I need another. I was reading below about pumpkin pie and now I am hungry for that, too. I hope everybody has a good day today.

Well, here's a nice, hot cup for you...and what ever you want in it. Now lets see, I may have some pumpkin pie back here, it is that time of the year.

Mmm, pumpkin pie. *drool* Should I get some homemade whipped cream ready? :D

Not so bad in the cave. This is suburbia, after all, with central heating. Outside is a different story. Honestly, I can't figure out why I bother to stay awake this time of year . . . except for girls in tight sweaters and Sam Adams Winter Lager!

I happened to be in one of our major Supermarkets the other day, and asked about Pumpkin Pie. One of the staff ladies escorted me to the fruit pie section; Apple, Yes, Apple & Blackberry, Yes, Pumpkin - No. "I've heard of it," she said, "but never seen it." On our way out, she pointed at some foot-ball (Ok, soccer) -sized pumpkins, but they were too anaemic-looking.

And that, dear friends, is the saga of pies, pumpkin, ordinary folk for the use of.

Interesting...Here in the States pumpkin is pretty much everywhere...thanks to those Pilgrims!

Meanwhile, it getting COLD here. Gotta get more wood for the fire, as it is a naked party. Of course, all are welcome by the fireside...warm fire, warm drinks, and a nice thick rug do make it comfy.
