When my parents bought their new house, they considered the naked factor. Now that we're looking for a house to rebuild for my brother and his wife, it comes up again.

My house has a naked factor of ten. You can go anywhere, outside or in without fear of being seen.

Does anyone else consider this when looking at new homes?

Hehe. I wanted to be able to pick tomatoes naked. My bckyard has quite a bit of privacy.

You crack me up.

LOL. Looking at real estate will never be the same again for me.:D

josh and i prefer a naked factor of ten, or mayhaps a nudist colony. we hate wearing clothes. at the moment we have a naked factor of probalby 5 wherein we can runaround naked outside at night. or would that be a 4 hmmm?

*lol* I have to admit, this past summer when I was looking for a place to stay over the (school) year, "the naked factor" wasn't really on the list. Good water pressure, enough bathrooms, enough cupboard space, etc. were more my aim. But I'll certainly keep it in mind for next time!

What? lol I think it's a valid element to home purchase. Especially if you're thinking about adding a hot tub or pool.

No, but I wish we had.

Our house has a naked factor of about 2. Only the two bathrooms have any privacy. Otherwise our bedroom windows line up with the bedrooms of one neighbors house and a hallway of the other neighbors house. Our 1st floor windows line up with our neighbors' kitchen and dinning room or are full street access or backyard display. I feel like we live in a fish bowl. Like I need a bathrobe at my bedside..

yes but my neighbors (the male one at least) have asked me to at least keep the blinds in the kitchen closed when I stroll to the kitchen for a sip of water in the middle of the night. Something was said about "floppin in the breeze". I retorted, "and just why are you looking in my kitchen window at three am?" I swear he is a peeping Tom.

The naked factor is very important to my husband and me as we are planning our dream home. Unfortunately, we're also planning a passive solar home. Do you know how hard it is to reconcile privacy concerns with a house that has a front made almost entirely of glass ? We're figuring on needing a HUGE plot of land to avoid offending the neighbors.

My house has a naked factor of 9, provided you stay in the back yard. I've been known to sit on the deck and drink my coffee in the nude, or bring in clothes off the line in the nude. When we had the pool up and running, we skinny dipped every night after work. I'm really really looking forward to adding a 4 season porch to the side of the house, complete with hammock and hot tub so I can spend lots of naked time out there year round.

We're pretty sheilded from the road, so I can walk around naked in the house anytime, and I've never felt the need to hang curtains on any of the windows.

Hmmmm. I can't say I've ever considered the naked factor in looking at any house. I have had the feeling that I was over looking something though. Maybe this was it.

The naked factor just enabled me to go out into the yard and untangle my dog without finding my missing robe. Do not underestimates its power.

You know...

We're planning to look at houses this coming year and the thought did cross my mind. I hate having my blinds or curtains drawn, for some reason it makes me feel as if I’m doing something criminal. I like the sunlight and I hate that closed-in feeling you get whenever the curtains are closed. and I’m a firm believer of being naked whenever possible.

Oh, definitely! It's the main reason I don't live on the ground floor. Can keep the blinds open and the clothes off.

I definately want a naked factor of about 8 or more. When I lived in NH we had a naked factor of 10 and I loved it, playing in the garden naked, running out to the outhouse (yes we had an outhouse during construction) and having a huge wall of sliding doors that we only used curtains on to control the heat in the house. I miss that now that I live in a city where my neighbors are just about an arms length away...
