Thank goodness you're an early riser, AF. I slept in this morning. Everyone would have starved!

Good morning everyone. Happy Saturday.

Word.

My 6yo fractured her femur a month ago, but had the pins removed yesterday and can start putting weight on it in another couple of weeks. Today we're picking up a walker and making the long drive home from the hospital.

Two weeks, people. Two weeks is all you have to prepare for the coming onslaught of the little girl whose determination knows no bounds. Have walker, will travel! :)
!

Haha :) thanks!

I helped her do things like getting dressed and using the bathroom, but I didn't consider myself the entertainment committee. It took her maybe a week to figure out how to slide down off of the couch and scoot backward across the floor, transfer herself from the couch to her wheelchair, or hop across the room using furniture to steady herself.

Last week we went to the park and the first thing she wanted to do was go down the slide. We lifted her onto the bottom step of the 'staircase' (vs. the traditional ladder) and she hauled herself the rest of the way up and slid down. Ta-da!

Letting her do things herself -when she can- keeps her busy, she likes a challenge, and it counts as physical therapy! ;)

You ARE awesome!!! :nana:
Letting her figure things out like that will take her far in life! It helped me so very much my whole life & even more so the last 10 years since I hit the handicap wall. (That & watching too many MacGyver TV shows) But I can't always wait for people to come over to help me hang a shower curtain, wash my hair, or move things around. So I might not do things like other people but I can get them done.

Just coffee for me so far.

Good morning all

We are going to the movies today. Taking the family to see Race.

HN! Good to see you! (You too Ricky, Eric, LIG - but come on...she's been gone for a long time...)

Glad you dropped in for breakfast. Welcome back.

Good morning PG'ers!

Beachbaby, that's the perfect breakfast for a rainy Sunday morning, and it made my tummy rumble! Thanks for breakfast, I'll try to help out with the cooking going forward with Tom away.

Have a spectacular Sunday, everyone :rose:
