Oh dear! Why didn't you PM me? I would have loved to lend a hand. I hope google translate is better at knitting than at translating.

We were at a program....

She said she thought it was a sweater.... but I'm sure she was wrong :)

Actually it was only to repair a mistake but it was like an I Love Lucy episode.

I knit.... no German.
another person .....no knitting but little German
another person .... no knitting or German but she had internet.

It was quite funny. I only had to pick up dropped stitches and tailor deceases in pattern but so hard to follow anything started by someone else.

That sounds great! It must have been great fun for all of you. I love such (hilarious) situations.

Repairing someone else's work is really difficult. The figuring out, the counting of to tight or to loose stitches ... I bet you did a marvelous job, Rose!

I'm proudly finishing more projects this year.... Usually I start them and then get bored with pattern. Just finished baby blanket for a coworker and the baby was born last week. That's a record for me.

Gratulations! I do the same though. I am working on a bed-throw for eldest, a tablecloth for a niece (a big one) and a tablecloth (small round one) for a friend.

Damn.... that is a lot of work. At least knitting goes a little faster.

A friend's husband asked me to knit an Irish Sweater for him. I had to break the news that I don't love him enough to put in all that work :)

An Irish Sweater, oh my! That is such an enormous lot of work! I have the nordic sweater my mom made for herself in 1961. It is carefully packed away in a cloths-bag with sandalwood cubes. It is such a wonderful piece, and as warm as two blankets! When it still fitted me, I wore it when I went skating (if the ice was thick enough) with only a thin, long sleeved undershirt. No coat.

I am not sure if knitting goes faster, I am pretty fast at crocheting. Much slower at knitting, I don't do it much.

I was thinking in terms of the stitches... knitting with yarn vs. crocheting with the thinner thread for lace.

I knit a little Irish sweater for my dog. It was a way to practice stitches and finish quick. Unfortunately, she thinks the cable makes her butt look big. :)

I took a pretty thick cotton for the bed-throw ... One square is fifteen by fifteen centimeters over twenty tours. But yes, if I want something to have a lacy look it takes more time. But I once made a little rug for under a big clear glass vase working with two threads of a thick cotton yarn. It was the same pattern I used for a table cloth which had a diameter of around thirty centimeters and was nearly one meter in diameter.

Your dog is lucky you made her such a nice thing! She should wear it nonetheless. I mean, what is a big but if you can do someone you love a great pleasure?

And now I use the good morning thread to wish you a good night!

And a good night to you!!!

Unusual for me, but I'll check-in.

Good afternoon, world......
