The Misfits Thread

Okay, this idea might just sink to page 11 by the end of today, and if it does well, that's the breaks.

This thread is for anyone and everyone who feels they want to post to "The Playground" but haven't found a spot that "fits" them. You know - your "state" thread not entirely welcoming? Don't like crashing parties where there are, like, 20,000 posts and you know not a soul? If you are like me, you've tried to post here with little to no sucess.

But, hey, that's cool! 'Cause now you can post here! This thread is not "tied" to any specific "lifestyle", "location", or "interest". It just....is. Plain and simple. A thread to talk and get to know all the other "misfits" here at Lit.

So, welcome and enjoy! And by the way - if anyone has any ideas on how to fix this place up, please let me know. I can be challenged when it comes to decorating!

Great idea Chele...I frequently hear new people saying they don't know where to begin and feel like they are intruding if they pop into another thread.

I have actually found the PG crowd to be much more welcoming than say the GB crowd...at least here people respond to you when you post...it's not like you are invading precious turf.

Anyways, it's a wonderful idea.

Cool idea for a thread, and i've seen quite a few new people on the pg this week already, so i'm hoping they drop by. I too, know what it's like to post somewhere and no one says hi to you after you've posted a few on there, it's kinda rude, but some people know nothing of tact. i imagine that when they were new on a thread, they already knew everyone or maybe because they know a few people, they find you not worth getting to know
So, with that said, hi to everyone that has posted on here, and a "Hello" to those that have not yet posted!!!

Start Your Own!

I began my own thread on my very first day on Lit. "The Exhibitionist In Me" is still going. It deals with a subject dear to me. Since then I've started some others. "Incest Is Best" is one of the most viewed threads in the playground since I started it.

So, find a subject that interestes you (sexual or not) and start your own. Actually I guess you did with this thread.

After a while you'll gain the confindence to enter other threads and post your opinions/ideas there, too. Most of the people here are really friendly and nice. The rest can go fuck themselves. And most of them know who they are.

Not everyone has the confidence to start new threads at the beginning....but from what I've seen Khan, you stand out in the crod anyways!!

It is nice for people to have a place that others will welcome them...we try to do that in the TC thread as well...but sometimes conversations are moving so fast, people get inadvertantly missed.

Thanks for the comments Chele, and I will try to make it a point to visit here regularly.

A place for just us misfits! Well it fits me just fine. I never have the time to follow all the threads I want to, and to cut in on the middle of an ongoing conversation.... well that just isn't me.

Here I will just find a place over here next to this wall, so I can see the door, (comes from my old gunfighting days) and leave a few of my things. I'll stop in later.

SC...is there a refrigerator available...or maybe a wet bar? Just checking. We might want to install one if it's not here yet.

Wow! Thanks to all to have dropped by! And I'm so glad that quite a few of the Playground "regs" have dropped by - thanks!

And, yes, I do get around Lit, though not sure if that is good or bad! My first "home" here was the SRP, and I still post there quite a bit, but I want to branch out, so to speak.

Well, I am a misfit - and darn proud of it! Yup - I was the geek in school, never went to the prom, didn't lose my virginity until I was 18. Certified "misfit" material! But I'm glad I'm not alone, or at least there are folks on Lit who can appreciate us!

As to what is available here, well, lessee....ah, hell, I can afford it, so I'll have the full bar installed this afternoon, fully stocked. It'll be over there, across from the door. Of course, the mirror behind it will allow those who have a less than stellar past to glimpse who is walking through the door!

And over against that other wall is the kitchen - open 24/7 and has everything you could possibly want. Now, all we need is a bartender and waitress....

I guess i'm kinda like you..i've been on the pg damn near 6 mos..i've been "venturing" out onto the gb more and the how to board. I guess i look at it as, there's probley some intresting people over in them parts, i should go meet some of them..LoL

I'm too surly to be waitstaff, and not suitable as a bartender, but I can build a mean wooden bar, do tile, fix walls, paint, and all sorts of other handy things which might need doing from time to time.
