Does that mean you have one of those tool belts? I'm a real sucker for those! (Well, among other things as well!)

I agree SC there's some really awesome people here!!! and as for the feud...i've posted my various thoughts on that quite a few places..LoL I was just fed up with the obsurdity and immaturity of these adults..LoL Sheesh..i left high school years ago..LoL

I agree. Not to get back into this GB vs PG war or anything....but I have posted htere now at least 10 times in the last 2 days and it's as if I am invisible. In fact, some guy started a thread, I answered first, some girl answered after me...he jumps on says hi to her and nada to me...now what the fuck is that?

When I was new, I came here...first post I got a response and almost every one since then. Whatever those anal retentive dickheads might think...this is the place to be.. a place with warm, friendly people who don't have their heads up their asses. Fuck the GB! *end rant* Sorry!

Yeah i go there every so often..i have met one person that i talk to on a pretty regular basis from the gb. I have posted there like you have, and gotten some answers, but like after a few of the regular people start plowing in it's like yeah u were cool for awhile..LoL I'm sure you've heard about my attitude..i just don't give a fuck..really. I am much too grown to be worried about getting "dissed"" by some fucking "tea and cookie crew"..LoL

I swill coffee early, and iced tea late, and either in between. Brewing pots of soffee lead to pleasant expectations.

Yeah, I build, and rebuild, stuff - I work on old houses mostly. Learned to do most of it by trial and error. I've got a tool belt, and power tools, and pneumatic tools, and cords, and hoses and all sorts of assorted crap I've collected over the years.

Guys get jobs working construction for summer vacation. I've been on summer vacation for 25 years now.

I go to the GB to cause trouble on occassion. On my first trip there, I responded with one of my delicately worded and mild opinions on something political, and got lambasted pretty thoroughly. I meekly girded my loins, softly declared "jihad", and begged to differ with the detractors, offering to debate the issue in any format they chose. I received not one reply. It was fun, tho', but I can't seem to duplicate it. Guess I've been made, hunh?

Okay, this idea might just sink to page 11 by the end of today, and if it does well, that's the breaks.

This thread is for anyone and everyone who feels they want to post to "The Playground" but haven't found a spot that "fits" them. You know - your "state" thread not entirely welcoming? Don't like crashing parties where there are, like, 20,000 posts and you know not a soul? If you are like me, you've tried to post here with little to no sucess.

But, hey, that's cool! 'Cause now you can post here! This thread is not "tied" to any specific "lifestyle", "location", or "interest". It just....is. Plain and simple. A thread to talk and get to know all the other "misfits" here at Lit.

So, welcome and enjoy! And by the way - if anyone has any ideas on how to fix this place up, please let me know. I can be challenged when it comes to decorating!

Let's see, I guess I'm a misfit of sorts.....I seem to keep to my pic posting addiction...but I can truthfully say that I've been welcomed on all the threads I've posted on so far....maybe not too warmly at times, but civil.Truth is, I kinda like the thought of a thread that I can pop into now and then and people won't care if I'm here and gone at times....or I just butt in for the fun of it. Lots of times I don't post my opinions simply because I'm wiped out by the end of the day, and I just want to keep it fun and simple. Being a librarian tends to make me want to shy away from in depth discussions. But when I do that, I'm often thought of as rather lacking in intelligence. Oh well, I'm not really here to impress....just to talk...be me...So, that being the case, I'll keep this thread in mind from now on!!
