Who is this mysterious metrodance?

And why would someone with such a keen sense of bulletin board phenomenology have picked such a cheesy name?

He(she?) is an enigma wrapped in a riddle shrouded in mystery wearing a fake mustache and glasses.

My name has a depth of meaning, although it is not obvious.

An enigma? Flattering as that is, it is simply not the case. I was at Lit, I left and have returned.

No fake moustache but I do wear glasses to read. Does that help?

We could debate that but I can't see the point.

If only Spelling Buddy was here to assist!
Well, Spelling Buddy has been in ill health for quite a while, although if he were here he might be inclined to take your side.

But America invented the Internets. And so if the American President says "Internets," we all have to say "Internets." At least until January 2009.

*removes multiple linguistic daggers from his rather abused psyche*

Is this the same President who thinks Africa is a country?

However, I accept that you have a deeper knowledge on the subject than I.

You favour English/Canadian spelling I notice. Not that that indicates much in here. It could be a devilishly clever red herring.

It could be as simple as altering the dictionary in Microsoft Word (Bless Bill) to English.

Or it could be the way that I spell.

Yes, I know. It's either a failing or an easy excuse.

I fail to see why it could not be both.
Failings are quite often used as easy excuses.

I love your brutal honesty, Metro (or whoever you were previously). Keep them coming.

Thanks, although I don’t know whether brutal is a correct description.

Just another Internets loser with too much time on his/her/its hands.

You’re becoming almost troll-like in your old age, Lasher. I would have thought you would have found it quite demeaning to stalk.

stalk?
he's posted in this thread before.

it's almost always on page one.

that's hardly stalking.

one learns from one's mistakes, no?
Life is series of mistakes – your either choose to learn and move on, or become a festering and bitter person. (I don’t think the and/or works there.)

.

It’s not just about this thread, you know. (I was almost tempted to use a happy-face smilie there but resisted).

It’s always risky to rush to defend when the entire facts or motives are not obvious . He knows what I mean, although may pretend otherwise.

Isn't life wonderful? I trust you are over your dark mood?

indeed.
it is unfortunate that it oft takes so long for one to realise that one has, in fact, made a mistake.
it simply makes the process of learning all that slower.

i'm aware of the risk, but also reasonably aware of the facts and motives
i'm also quite well versed in circumstantial evidence.

i am quite certain that he has better things to do than stalk you, however.

i am in denial, but yes, life is wonderful.

Denial - I know it well. Still, there are worse places.

The definition of stalking depends on whether you're the stalker or the stalkee?

But...you're probably right - the are far more important things in this sad world that could be attended to instead of pestering somebody on this great board.

I do not believe the definition of stalking would change, depending on your perspective.

Perhaps the appearance of stalking, yes.

I admire the deftness with which you delivered that last line.

Thank you..but it is a sad world.

What man may learn, what man may do,
Of right or wrong of false or true,
While, skipper-like, his course he steers
Through nine and twenty mingled years,
Half misconceived and half forgot,
So much I know and practise not.

Old are the words of wisdom, old
The counsels of the wise and bold:
To close the ears, to check the tongue,
To keep the pining spirit young;
To act the right, to say the true,
And to be kind whate'er you do.

Thus we across the modern stage
Follow the wise of every age;
And, as oaks grow and rivers run
Unchanged in the unchanging sun,
So the eternal march of man
Goes forth on an eternal plan.

you know quite well what i meant.

but that is, nonetheless, a most stirring poem.
