The synecdoche of a woman's wetness has been addressed in classier literature than we purvey here. For example, Garcia Lorca included it in his "Little Viennese Waltz:"

I think Cohen captured it more erotically in his "translation/rewrite," "Take This Waltz:"

And I do find "the dew of your thighs" to be more erotic than gushing like a firehose, though Skene's and Bartholin's glands have both been implicated in the phenomenon of "squirting."
