The mayor of Toronto just admitted that he smokes crack

Crack is expensive, pot is cheaper, throw the bum out and get a toker.

So far throwing the bum out is proving rather difficult. Maybe municipalities in the states have contingency plans for this sort of thing but he isn't falling on our militaries only grenade so what can you do?

What are the long-term effects of crack cocaine?

In addition to the usual risks associated with cocaine use, crack users may experience severe respiratory problems, including coughing, shortness of breath, lung damage and bleeding.

Long-term effects from use of crack cocaine include severe damage to the heart, liver and kidneys. Users are more likely to have infectious diseases.

Continued daily use causes sleep deprivation and loss of appetite, resulting in malnutrition. Smoking crack cocaine also can cause aggressive and paranoid behavior.

:rolleyes: Not in all cases, apparently.

Toronto Star released another video today of Rob Ford ranting about how he'd like to commit a graphic murder.

His statement to reporters? "I was extremely, extremely inebriated."

He's still the mayor of one of the largest cities in North America. Proud day.

I was so disgusted. And amazed by his bleating supporters. "He's a nice guy!", "It's a conspiracy against Rob Ford!", "He's saving us a lot of money!" I have a theory that there was some sort of singularity where alternate realities collided - - a few thousand people from the universe where Ford is a sober, hardworking, fiscally-responsible and respected leader ended up here and have been meandering at large, half mad and confused, chanting this shit.

Whenever I take a cab I ask the driver what he thinks of Ford's latest shenanigans and to a man they've all come out in support of him, (except for the cabbie yesterday, who furthermore wished more people would take public transit or bike to work in order to clear some of the downtown traffic and said he hates driving for a living, but does what he needs to do to make a living.)

I can't believe the bullshit this cavalier fuck is putting my city through.

Also fuck chilly, and fuck squibbs.

At City Hall yesterday:

Eve, ummm...check your pics. Not sure those were taken at City Hall. ;)

(Lovely, by the way, but not exactly political).

It's unreal. Even if you support his politics, he's an international embarrassment at this point. I talked to someone who still supported Ford; he was more concerned with the "pedophile ring running the school system."

I'm obsessed with your colliding universes theory. It must be the same one where Obama wore a dashiki while he was sworn into office and cancelled Christmas while he was pissing on a painting of Jesus.

I found them incredibly political in that they made me want to go masturbate in a voting booth.

OMG.

You're the first person in a long time on this site to make me blush!!

You're my absolute favorite.

And those pics are awesome! Love chalktivism. Particularly like the one that says "Ford for Senate 2013." In the video of him giving his "inebriated" comment, you can hear someone yell out "Rob Ford for Prime Minister!" Ha. Maybe that's the way to do it. He's clearly not going to resign, so maybe we can convince him to leave in pursuit of bigger, better things. He seems delusional enough that it just might work.

Toronto doesn't sound like a very nice place to live.

No wonder eve is leaving.

I should also probably warm my two cousins who are moving there next year.

No! It's lovely! It will be significantly less so once eve leaves. Anyway it's the best place in the world and if you live anywhere else you are a loser. Loser. Congratulate your cousins on leaving behind their loser pasts for me!

He's done some damage, no mistake, but he's mostly just comic relief.

OMG, have you seen this video yet? Is he drunk? Stoned?

I'm shocked the dude has not had a heart attack yet.

Yep, that's what I linked earlier. SCOOPED, Aphro! :D You're cool, by the way.

I haven't been able to figure it out - does he say he's mad at people for saying he and his brother are "birds"? What the eff does that mean? Is it some weird, drug-culture slang, or is he just fucking crazy?

Oops, my bad!  Sorry Phelia!

I don't know...he sounds utterly disjointed. And when he says "brother" I don't think he's talking to Doug. It's someone else.

I haven't lived in the city for several years, but do still like to go downtown now and then, and I still miss my little apartment in the Annex.

It's a great city, Islandman, with so much to offer to residents and visitors. This...asshole that got elected mayor is an embarrassment to most Torontonians. Yeah, there are some who don't care, as long as their taxes don't get jacked up, but most are horrified. He's just done one stupid-ass thing after another, after another.

I feel terrible for his wife and kids! Can you even imagine his children having to go to school right now?

LOL! Don't...those were HAWT!

And Rob Ford was DEFINITELY no where to be found, thankyouverymuch.

I cannot comment on a photo I did not see or that may not exist.

What is it with Ford supporters and bizarre conspiracy theories? I mean, at least our collision theory makes sense. (It's the same collision that brought us everyone who spells it "Dilemma" instead of "Dilemna" btw)

You visionary! Wouldn't it be great to inflict the Fords on Harper's inner circle? Someone on the Twitter quipped that we should just tell him he already resigned while in a drunken stupor, and refuse to show him the video.

My favourite was the audible gasp in the reel where he admits doing crack. So shocking!

He's done some damage, no mistake, but he's mostly just comic relief.

He's terrible. A menace! He's screwed over Scarborough for decades to come and wasted millions pursuing his transit pipe dream. If the residents of the city didn't have any backbone his administration would have plundered libraries and other services much deeper than has been done too. Sad. :(

Bottom line is Toronto has Phelia at the moment, that's all anyone needs to know about its virtues.

Aphro, the next time you come to the Annex it might be completely transformed - Honest Ed's was just sold to developers. My favourite place to be is the lakeshore and Toronto Islands.

What I know about Ford's politics I like, but you can't have an alcoholic drug addict running a city. That's ridiculous.
