his first album arrived four years before i was born and yet his music often plays in my house...my folks were huge fans of his and now my son is his fan too...his songs have been covered by some of the greatest talents in rock and roll but he's a man who turned his back on filling stadiums in favor of living in an airstream trailor and letting it take him anyway the wind blows

his name is jj cale

jj's music is the embodiment of the term laid back with rolling rhythms that settle in on you, easing your breathing to its slowest pace and softenng your face into a smile...he often keeps a beat that's infectious enough to keep one foot tapping, but at the same time the rest of your body is pressed immovable into your chair
