The Mansion

He squirmed in his seat as her lips touched various points along the path, gliding over the skin of his neck, before reaching his ear. The soft husky growl made him shiver as that warm feeling spread through him, the area around his ears suddenly getting warm. He listened to her words before murmuring back, shifting in his chair a bit.

"Ask...me...?"

His hand clutched her arm just for a few seconds before losing it's grip.

She laughed softly and took one of his hands as she slipped from his lap and got to her feet, tugging him gently as she turned toward the door. Another change? To be sure. Another one she was looking forward to.

He smiled as she got down from his lap and tugged him gently, turning away. He let her take his hand into hers and stood up himself, resting his other hand on the arm of the chair. No words were exchanged. Not yet. Just that soft laugh from her. He would simply follow her for now.

"Come on, M."

She tugged him out of the study and just down a little ways to the door of her bedroom. She had one hand on the door knob as she stopped to look at him a moment before she opened the door. She gave him a small smile and took a deep breath. She felt like a little girl all over again on Christmas Day. Excited, pleased, butterflies fluttering in her stomach as she thought about the unknown...

He followed her as they went past the hallway outside the study and towards her bedroom. He had been in there before. Once even to install the trunk. But it was different this time. He knew it. He felt excited as well. And nervous. And a flood of other emotions as they approached the door, before she opened it and gave him a smile. He squeezed her hand gently and smiled.

It was a new beginning...

She stepped backwards, slowly, toward the center of the room, still holding his hand, her eyes on his face. They were still within fingertips of being able to close the door.

"Will you share this room with me?"

Simple words for a simple yet heartfelt request.

He took one step forward for each of hers, as she walked backwards, slowly, holding his hand. Both sets of eyes gazing into each other, his other hand reached back to give the door a gentle push as her words fell on his ears.

His eyes glanced around the room quickly before setting back onto her. He took a deep breath, then simply smiled and replied, "Yes, I will."

She stepped up to him then, sliding her arms around his neck and pressing her body against his as she lifted her face to his.. That was all she needed to hear. The softly closing bedroom door briefly registered in her mind before it settled, completely, on the man before her.

His arms went around his Lady's waist and pulled her close to him as she stepped up, their bodies pressing together. As the bedroom door closed shut, a whole new world of possibilities opened. It was like a dream, about to come true.

She woke early this morning to find him watching her sleep. It felt a bit odd at first, but odd only because she wasn't use to it. On the other hand, it was moving and amazing. He mentioned making breakfast, eggs, sausage and some juice and hash browns. She mentioned wanting pancakes. Pancakes meant syrup. He offered chocolate chip or blueberry ones.

Since he was nowhere around, she figured he must be in the kitchen. Slipping on a thin robe he had thoughtfully left at the foot of the bed for her, she moved across their bedroom to the door, opening and closing it behind her She was pinning up her hair as she made her way to the kitchen and all the delicious smells coming from it.

She strode back into the mansion, her mind shutting down. Dropping her keys in the bowl at the entrance table, she headed for the kitchen first for a glass of ice tea. A quick glance into the study and bedroom showed that M was out, which was good. She didn't want him seeing her in this mood.

The study held no appeal so she settled for the Library, pulling a book from the one of the bookcases, she set the glass on a coaster on a nearby table as she curled up in a chair to read. She made a mental note to send Raven a message that she wasn't upset with him at all. She was just damn tired. Opening the book, she began to read.

*slips in, setting an armload of new books down on the table near her, before vanishing like mist*

She glances up to look for the stereo remote. She needs some music in her soul. Her eyes the pile of books with a soft smile. Raven. She'll have to find a way to thank him. In the meantime, she wants some Toby Keith

I walk into the Great Hall and, hearing music, heads towards the Library. I open the door and enter.

Hello Lady Cait. Glad to see you again. How is everything?

*blinks then looks up and notices she has company*

Avel? I'm sorry, I was lost in this book. *she closes it gently* How are you?

(RW took me awhile for a spell, sorry and I only had my music post open)

*slips in, raising an eyebrow at the country music*

Meh, I always prefer classic country to modern stuff.

Having found a comfortable place, against the wall, to lie down, I sigh with content. I look over at Cait and smile.

It's ok... so how are you today?
