Noon pays his first ever visit to the Mansion, not really taking the time to explore or look around, as he just decides to head right to Cait to give her a hug. "Hey you-haven't spoken to you in a while, just wanted to say hey."

He squeezes her quickly and then lets go.

He stepped through the glass doors to the back patio, she looked up, grinning.

"Noon!" she met him halfway, wrapping her arms around him, giving him a hug back. "Hello. Welcome to my home. Care for something to drink? The first time your a guest, after that you're fetching for yourself." She winked.

He smiles and then ponders, nodding after a second. "Sure, if you're offering, I'll take a martini. But I did just want to catch up since I'd not spoken to you for a bit. How are you doing?" He gives her a genuine smile, this time not even taking the opportunity to let his hands grope during the hug.

"Just thought it was worth saying hi, at the least."

She turned slowly, setting her palms on the desk, her green eyes on his form. Her voice but a soft whisper between them.

"I think you should go, Glad. You wondering why I can't even be romantically inclined with you. Fine. I didn't want to go there. I wanted to keep him out of this. He has nothing to do with any of this. I told you that a few days ago, told you how I was feeling unsettled and different. Blade just came along after that and I don't want him caught up in all this. What he gives me is something I've been looking for.
It hit him like a slap in the face. First the things she'd said then her telling him to leave.

He hadn't understood, hadn't thought he'd done anything so bad. But that was fine. He would not stay where he was not welcome.

He rose and walked out... still with more questions than answers, but feeling hurt and confused. He had just tried to talk to her tried to understand...he hadn't thought he had done anything so bad.

"Have a seat, Rogue, if you have time to spare," she indicated a chair across from hers, "Ah there's Thomas." She grinned at the butler and took the drinks from the tray, handing one to Noon."You martini, sir," she glanced at Thomas, "Thank you, Sir Thomas, that will be all for now." Sitting down, she moved her closed journal aside before sitting back in her chair, "I've been better. I've been worse." She gave him a slight smile, stirring her drink, "How are you this evening?"

He shrugged slightly, and then sat down across from her, his playfulness coming as he shot her a smirk. He accepted his drink with a nod and sipped on it before setting it aside. "Well, I'm glad that you're doing okay, regardless of good or bad it is at the moment."

He leaned back slightly. "It's been a pleasant enough evening for me. I have few complaints. I'm actually feeling great right now, thanks for asking. I seem to have settled into a comfortable position." He winked at her. "A bit of coffee to perk me up and a couple of tylenol to resolve the aches, and bit of sugar to sate my sweet tooth, and I simply have no complaints."

She grinned at him over the rim of her glass at the mention of a sweet tooth, "You fondling the Lady Elf again or just women in general?"

Her fingers tapped on the table top as this song played.

Her jaw tightened the moment he left. She couldn't do this anymore. She just couldn't.....

She glanced at Noon pleasantly, sipping her drink.

He perks an eyebrow. "Well, I might be fondling the elf a bit. I was more referring to have had a couple of chocolate chip cookies with a diet soda. For once, I was not using a euphemism." He chuckles at her. "I guess I've become the rogue who cried foul."

He studied her as she sipped on her drink quietly, letting his own thoughts swirl slightly for a moment. He sipped on his own drink. "But anyway, I've been behaving myself...for the most part...in these parts of late."

"I noticed. You didn't even grope my ass when I hugged you. I was beginning to wonder if you were coming down with something."

"I noticed. You didn't even grope my ass when I hugged you. I was beginning to wonder if you were coming down with something."

He chuckles and shakes his head. "No, I'm entirely healthy, though your concern is noted and appreciated. It's just not always becoming to remain in a constant libidinous state. I'm simply attempting to extend a modicum of politeness to some of my female acquaintances."

He glances over at her teasingly. "I just thought you would not be precisely in the mood for such attention at the moment. But id you'd like, I'd be more than willing to grab at your ass. Shall I?" He rises out of his and steps toward her playfully.

She laughed up at him, holding out a hand. "Such a gentleman to oblige a lady," she teased back, shaking her head, "No, you're right. I'm really not."

He smiles and inclined his head. Though he did capture her hand that she extended toward him, giving it a squeeze, then leaning down to kiss her knuckles before he sat back down, going back to his martini. "So how are things going for you, otherwise. Still enjoying your threads? I finally put up a post in Winter a couple days ago, to see if that one might get jump-started"

A look of appreciation crossed her eyes as he kissed her knuckles then nodded.

"Oh yes. Still enjoying my threads even the one that has given me the most heartburn. It's been a real challenge writing her and now that M13 has written back, I'm stuck on how to reply so I think it's the only one I'm sitting on at the moment. I was suppose to start one with Glad too, but I think that one is going to be on ice as well.

I read your post for WIC. I don't think I can post again until LI gets more underway. I plan to write her into the feasting already, watching people and making mental notes. I don't have a plan for her yet other than the general one, just sort of playing it by ear and seeing if someone else will spark some sort of enticement for me to pick the scent up of. How are your threads coming along?"

He smiles at her, nodding. "They're going really well, thanks for asking. I've been in a bit of a groove writing, and I've got a good flow for several of my stories. I'm enjoying them all right now, and nothing is really causing me any pains, other than the occasional feeling that I'm having an expressive aphasia episode. I just started a new one with Hikari that's somewhat similar to a thread I had a long time ago, it's looking fun so far." He chuckles.

He sips the rest of his martini, downing it, and sets the glass aside. "Thanks very much for the drink, Cait. I'm just glad to have caught up with you a little. Don't be a stranger-I hope to talk to you again soon." He slides over to her and kisses her cheek softly. "I'll talk to you again later."

Noon seems himself out.

She watched him go with a smile and pulled her laptop over in front of her, firing it up.

A note for her.

"I did still intend on writing that thread with you if you would still like. I had half a post written before the shit hit the fan. give me a couple days to try to collect my muse which seems to have fled into the Ether once again...
Glad."

She had risen early again, as her body seemed to dictate despite the fact she was late seeking her bed the night before. She had sought the comfort of her study, simply writing. No goal in mind or posts for those owed. This morning she had sought out a friend and while they talked, she had just let stuff fly from her fingertips. Such things are what helped her. Then it was back to bed only to wake more fully a couple of hours later, much to her dismay, but she could function on five hours of sleep.

Now ensconced behind her desk, she took a moment to sit back, relax and enjoy the one cup of coffee she allows herself, making mental notes of posts she owes as she flips through the storylines, checking.

Glass of wine in hand I wander around looking for the remote. Ah, there it is. A quick click and the music I wish to hear fills the air.

Standing in the middle of the room, eyes closed, I let the beat wash through me. Then slowly of its own accord, my body slowly moves to the rhythm instinctively. One hand pressed to my abdomen, the other holding my wineglass.

In my mind, images play. A small smile crosses my lips. You're not of a dancer. It doesn't matter. You pick up the rhythm too. And does it truly matter if you can dance or not? It's just you and me, here, alone, in my mind.

The evening had passed quietly, gently. A good bottle of wine and soft music. She was recharged and ready to plow into her day.

Standing in her rose garden, she held her swords in both hands, rotating them once before she went to work. Slash. Block. Parry.

She could feel the stretch in her muscles and it felt good. She felt good. Life, was good.
