The Mandela Effect

There's a dumb conspiracy meme on the internet called the Mandela Effect which exploits the fact that our memories are plastic and can change quite significantly over time. Anyway, they try to convince people that the past has been altered by way of time travel or some such.

My Mandela moment is a scene from a movie that I'm hoping someone can find for me. I was convinced it belonged to a film called "Happy Campers" with Brad Renfro.

In the scene an average guy spends the whole film pursuing the "hot chick". He makes a lot of progress and in the end when you assume he's going to win the girl, she let's him down. She tells him he has all the right qualities but at this stage in her life she's all about having fun and fucking. Therefore she's going to stay with her meat-head boyfriend. I re-watched Happy Campers and the scene wasn't in it. Does it ring any bells for anyone?

And what is your poor memory moment?

the mandela effect is real. the belief that it proves the existence of alternate realities is dumb, but it is definitely real. just ask the berenstain bears.

It's an interesting topic but only in terms of how memory works and group think and all that.
Nobody went back and changed history, nobody found a way between dimensions, nobody did shit. I like sci-fi as much as the next guy but it's nothing any fun. Mob mentality of sorts.

There is an initial memory created for every memorable event. When you recall that memory for the first time, it is more or less accurate, and is restored, overwriting the original. The next time you recall that memory, you recall the latest stored version, minus certain details and/or corruptions, like a game of telephone that you play with yourself.
