What I'm confused about, is why no one even apparently looked at my posted reply from last night concerning this subject. Sure we were hoping for responses from those that have not posted lately, even if it was a long shot (though in the past our asking about the interest in the game has produced results, truly it has). But I also thought my other questions would have gotten responses from those of you that were still playing the game. Especially after I said that my time around here is infrequent, and that it would probably result in it taking longer between topics. I was also asking about the subjects themselves, and perhaps if a different format should be considered from time to time.

But sadly it seems that my whole post on that is overlooked, or at least not taken into consideration. Instead, we get told that we've now pissed people off for even asking our questions, and I feel like we've just had a strip torn off us for daring to ask. Frankly, I'm rather taken aback at the replies in the thread to DB's posts, feel that they were a bit on the harsh side, and also at the lack of any response to my post. I'm not angry, just rather disappointed.

However, no need for any of us to worry about this thread anymore as it appears to be in everyone's best interests to stop it here and now. Thank you though for your participation .

I happen to think that when someone asks quite well-meaningly and innocently for feedback about the thread and ideas people may have... it's fairly personal to say "you're pissing people off" and accusing them of having an agenda to guilt people into things... when they're not. Maybe that's my poor delicate sensibilities. Maybe it's you being rude. We each know the other's opinion.

Yes I do say that you misinterpret... and you also assume things to be true without knowing the facts. You assume because you saw no replies on the thread that there were no replies. You know from running the connections thread that things happen off-thread.

And again I disagree.... No.. they didn't work long term maybe... but to have done nothing would have meant giving up ages ago.

And again.. I think how people interpret the perfectly reasonable message for constructive feedback about the thread says more about them and what they may mean when they write stuff. We simply wanted to make the thread as good as possible.

We could argue till doomsday... but I will say I stand by what I say too. And that I'd NEVER have done to you in a thread what you did here. Never.

My last post here

It has been brought to my attention that the number of views on this thread has risen dramatically since me and DB started having our spat.

I know that a number of those viewing will be people who are not friends of DB and I'm sure the smug, self-satisfied fuckers have been rubbing their hands together with glee at the thought of DB and one of his closest allies on Lit parting ways.

Let me make this clear once and for all:
DB and I have not always agreed, but we've been adult enough to accept each other's point of view and move on. Unlike some of you lot we don't need friends who kowtow and agree with everything we say, if we disagree, our friendship is strong enough and genuine enough to survive it. Yes, he pisses me off on occasion, and I know I piss him off equally, he's just too polite to tell me - and that may surprise most of you.

Even though this has been one humdinger of a falling-out, DB has and will continue to have my friendship and support for however long he wants it.

Stick that in your fucking journals, you vultures.

And it is a sad fact that a certain group of self-righteous people seem to glory in anything bad that happens to my circle of friends. They never outright come and say it.

Someone pointed out to us both that the page views had rocketed after our argument. Now this is no surprise to me, as this is how they operate. They'll look on with amusement and post their cryptic judging messages all over Lit... all in preparation for the book they plan to write about it all.

This group is a very sad bunch who basically just post agreeing with each other (even when they don't), and if you DO dare to disagree, you go from friend to enemy in the blink of an eye.

LM was at pains to say... we aren't like that. We bicker and argue and call each other out when we think the other is being a cretin. And after that... you know what? We remain friends.

Unlike others on here we don't manipulate each other.. or get others to do our dirty work for us while we stand on and tut..... What you see is what you get.

Now if it bores you, or you don't like it.... just don't look. LM provided you with a LOT of entertainment in the connections thread. You owe her more respect than that.

Well, I haven't been on Lit in quite a while. Taking a break, personal reasons. But I considered DB and Razzy's quiz threads to be my favorite threads of all. I respect and admire them, and LoveMonster too (and not just for her beautiful boobs. ) I will miss Luck Of The Draw. I'm sad that it won't be here now that I'm easing my way back to Lit.

Is there any way you'd reconsider closing the thread?

P.S. Spat or no, this was the first time I've gotten notification in my email inbox that there was a new post in this thread. I guess if you don't log in for a while, Lit stops mailing the notifications and I just hopped on here yesterday to check out a contest post. As for the spat, everyone argues. I'm glad you are friends enough that you can waggle fingers, disagree and debate and then move on to the hugs and making up part pretty quickly. That's true friendship and I'm glad DB, Razzy and LM share it! No vulture here!

If I'm boring you... then the solution is simple. Stay out of this and the connection thread. I certainly don't take my own time and effort to provide questions for people to be 'bored'.

I'd also advise you to find out exactly who the comments are aimed at before you wade in. You seem not to know who is doing the thread (LM doesn't do this one... she does the other one you enter).

First of all, we stopped posting about this a few days ago. It's old news.
Second of all, this is NOT LM's THREAD as you mentioned in your earlier post above! It's mine (Razzy, the invisible one it seems) and DB's.
Third of all.. THE THREAD IS CLOSED!!! So sorry to have bored you, but our posts that started the whole fucking situation weren't just about lack of participation. My post, that to all intents and purposes was completely overlooked, was trying to explain why there have been lengthy lapses between topics, and asking for some other feedback about some other things we could try. However, it's all a moot point now, because, as has been stated at least 3 times now, the thread is closed! No more LOTD game.. zip .. zilch.. nada..


If anyone else has anything negative at all to say about the LOTD thread, and/or recent events about it, please DO NOT POST IT HERE!!!! Instead, PM myself or DB. Please.. And yes, I am mightily pissed off!!!!

I didn't see this before, but I feel beholden to answer.

You know what? You might have had enough of it all, but nobody is sitting here forcing you to read it. So if you don't like it, the exit is easy to find. As you said - move on.

You've also stated you have no clue as to who I'm talking about in my post, so why don't you find out first - believe me, you might not care about it, but there are certain people here on lit who derive immense pleasure at seeing people they don't like having a disagreement, hence the huge increase of views when DB and I had our argument - if those people who viewed had actually played, then there wouldn't have been a row in the first place, methinks? The whole point of my post is that many of those viewing DIDN'T play, they were just watching with glee as DB and I had a go at each other, then scurried away to laugh amongst themselves. I was not having a go at those who have played the thread, they were the people who kept it alive.

As for whether Vultures is a strong word? Given they pick over every word, analysing it, laughing at it, commenting on it obliquely in their own threads, I think it's a perfectly apt description.
